    Awesome

This place is great! You get nice sized portions for pretty cheap. More importantly, the food is excellent! The creole wings are absolutely delicious. I also reccomend their bloody marys.

    Great lil' place...

I eat here very often and although the service is nothing to comment on, the food is amazing. Crescent City is my favorite brunch item and the Creole Chicken Wings are to die for. Wish they could get their service on par!!!! But I'll still go back.

    Great Jones? Not Anymore.

It's so sad to see one of my favorites joints going down hill. The brunch has been inconsistent lately. I ordered the Crescent City which comes with biscuits and they were as hard as hockey pucks. The "Cajun" food is about as far as you can get from authentic. It's as if the cooks have never heard of Cajun cuisine. The gumbo was as thick as molasses and way too rich. That was the good part of the meal. The blackened catfish was by far the worst I've ever had. It lacked seasoning of any kind. The fish had no flavor whatsoever. I asked for remoulade sauce, which they did not have, and settled for equally bland sauce that didn't help. Overall, I'm just disappointed that the owners would serve food of such low quality. It's the lack of attention to details that is the problem here. Let's get hands-on and get this place back to what it once was.

    Awesome

The food here is GREAT. The atmosphere is low key, nothing crazy, but cool. Service normal, no problems nothing noteworthy. Who cares when the food is this good?? Not me. Supposedly the menu changes, but here's what I had: Lamb sausage po'boy- great, collard greens- great, sweet potato fries- the best ever, jambalaya- awesome. I will definitely be going back here. I could eat here anytime... Definitely check it out!!

    I love it!

I go there at least once every 2 or 3 weeks. I just love it, the burger is simply the best and so are the chicken wings. Everybody is really cool there, I never had a problem. If you've never been there just take the night off and go, it's really worth it. And I'm not even talking about the price, best in town.

    Ab Fab

Visited NY for 5 nights in November 06, we ate @ some lovely places but this beat them all, not only the cheapest meal we had but the food was fantastic, really tasty, yes the venue was small, but my friends & I liked that. Also we had no trouble getting a table, seated straight away (party of 4 ) maybe we were just lucky? Unfortunately we only discovered this Fab place on our last night. Anyway we all intend to go back to NY, & my guess is next time we will visit Great Jones more than once. .. (note to self, next time don't drink as many cocktails !)

The best new orleans cuisine in nyc

When the red beans actually have andouille sausage you know you are off to a respectable start. i should NEVER say this, their cornbread is almost better than my southern mother's. casual, comfy, and absolutely fabulous southern cooking make great jones a place not to be missed. oh, and it is tres inexpensive. laissez les bon temps rouler!
