    Amazing

I went to Grap and Grain for brunch and it was absolutely amazing. I must admit being a born and raised New Yorker and brunch frequenter, it takes a lot to blow me away with brunch. Grape and Grain did just that! I had the Breakfast Pizza which was AMAZING. It is one of the best brunch items I have ever had. It was very hearty, filling, and the ingredients were super fresh. I also tried the homemade chicken sausage patties which were absolutely delicious (although a little small). Again, the ingredients were very fresh and you could tell that the patties were tuly homemade. My boyfriend had the stuffed french toast which was also great! The atmosphere is very cute- rustic wooden tables and benches, drinks served in mis-matched tea cups, etc. It is a very cozy adorable place. If you are looking for a delicious, unique, and super affordable brunch in the East Village then definitly go to Grape and Grain!!!

Cute and cozy with great energy.

I celebrated my birthday with a few girlfriends last night and we had such a blast. The place was packed (in a good way) so I'm glad I made reservations. The service was amazing. Everyone was so friendly. Our server kept making sure we were happy and was really sweet. I had a friend who came a little late and no one from the restaurant made it into an issue. The music was all over the place but great! It somehow worked. The food was delicious. The pizza was good but I would recommend sharing several pizzas between people. One pizza with one topping can get old fast. Dessert was the best part. The apple tartin was the bomb. Cinnamon ice cream on top of an apple pastry... Yum. Cute and cozy with great energy. Loved it.

Excellent Brunch with a nice twist

This week my best friend and I decided to try a different brunch place and she picked Grape and Grain. The restaurant was very cozy, inviting, and the music was good on the ear. We love brunch and this amazing place was definitely a great find. I ordered the Breakfast pizza and she ordered the Arturo. The menu said that both of our orders has sunny-side eggs on top which I found interesting. When our pizzas came each had 2 sunny-side eggs. One bite got me hooked, I loved it. The toppings were fresh and the yolk spreaded onto the slices causing our rectangular pizzas to take on a whole new dimension. Each bite was a yolk-sensation. I would recommend Grape and Grain to everyone. Oh yah, the pitcher of Mimosa we shared was quite refreshing. We love to drink and we know of several places that has AYCD brunch but we came out tipsy so i applaud Grape and Grain....helps that we saw our waitress pour what looked like 2 bottles of champaigne into our pitcher.

Great Food, Wine & Atmosphere.....Very Poor Service

I had an 8pm reservation at Grape & Grain on a Wednesday night with 2 friends. Our table was ready when we got their and our waitress quickly asked us if we would like a drink. We had a delicious bottle of Malbec for only $30! After our drink and appetizer order our waitress seemed to have forgotten about us! We were very frustrated and disappointed in the service because this place has so much potential! The food was delicious, we had soft pretzels with pickles & mustard and 2 pizzas which were both equally scrumptious. I recommend going if you have a lot of patience.

Most romantic wine bar -- and great food!

I loved the atmosphere when we went for a Friday dinner-- very dark and intimate, with flickering candles, and lots of warmth coming from great conversation and a collection of people just glad to be there. It's a special thing to find. Everything we ordered was fantastic -- a portobello salad, the chartcuterie board, the short ribs, and a cheese plate. It all came with big plates of delicious bread. The wine was a great deal -- $9-$12 for a quarto, which was really 2 glasses. The waiter was covering all the tables solo, and yet still managed to provide great service. The one negative was when the bill came -- $120 for a few small plates and 2 quartos of wine each -- but that was the result of over-ordering food and not paying attention to the prices as much as anything. It was a wonderful, relaxing evening, with lots of pleasant suprises. I'll remember to tell my friends that I've found the perfect spot for their next date to impress.
