yum
The secret here is to order the casarecci pasta (a corkscrew-shaped pasta) with wild boar sausage and mushrooms. it's kind of their house specialty. and it's delicious. everything else is very good, but the wild boar sausage is the winner. atmosphere is nice, service is impeccable, prices are fine.

Overpriced, Poor Quality
Ate here over the weekend. The quality of the food was sub-par and the price was through the roof. You'd be better served to save your money and head somewhere else - it's the West Village so there's plenty of other places.

Pretty Good, But Not the Best
Visited on Thursday night around 9:30pm. Good atmosphere, to start. My cosmo was delicious (yes, I know I am old school), but my partner's Stella was forgotten. When the waiter (a different person from the one who took our order) dropped off the focaccia appetizer, he promptly brought the beer when we brought the matter to his attention. The focaccia app was delicious. My linguine with clams had great flavor, but the pasta was overcooked. My partner ordered the pizza with pepporoni, and he enjoyed. Would give it a second try.

Don't Come Hungry or Thirsty
Went there on a Tuesday night for my first time. Food was very good, service just as good. The appetizers and dessert portions are very small for the price. I had the lamb shank for the main and the portion was just OK. They give nothing away. Don't bother ordering any port the glass is miniscule.

Delightful!
I’ll start out by saying that I am Italian and therefore, am quite particular and critical of Italian food. A friend and I had dinner here last night and I have only good things to say. Food was delicious Service impeccable, The linguine with crab sauce I had was wonderful, as was my friend's ravioli in sage butter. I cleaned my plate then finished her last ravioli as she was just too full to eat it. Their website mentions a prix fixe menu however, there was none offered to us so I’m not sure about that. However, with 2 cocktails, 2 appetizers and 2 entrees at $100 including tip, I have no complaints If I had to suggest an improvement, it would be for some nice mixture of classical and Italian music playing at a low volume in the background. I just think it would add to the experience.

Fantastic Italian Flair!
I just had a wonderful dinner at Grano. I started with the Insalata Grano with arugula, fennel, beets and parmesan, and then had a brick oven pizza Quatro Staggione. Mmmm. These plus an ample glass of Syrah were the best! I've lived in the neighborhood for years, but figured Grano was a little pricey for what it is. Well, the pizza, about $14, was big enough for two and perfect. The salad was delicate and ample. The service was totally personable, neighborly and generous. I'll definitely be back, with a date, with friends, and alone. They absolutely do their best to make you feel at home. Mangia!

Decent Food, Cozy Atmosphere, OK Prices
I had a very tasty pizza and my friend had some sort of linguine and lobster dish. Except for finding out at the end of his meal that the meat inside the claw of the lobster was uncooked/strangely colored (I'm from Portland Maine, I cook lobsters myself quite often) and kinda scary. The rest of the lobster was fine and he's not dead. Though they were quite good on all other parts, We were a little surprised that the server had basically nothing at all to say about the wierdness of the uncooked/discolored lobster claw meat. In most any other restaurant, a manager or the chef himself would have come to our table and apologize and offer dessert or something. Improperly cooked seafood can kill you. LOL. I would definitely go back, but wouldn't get lobster (for the most part I don't trust lobster that I don't cook myself or eat at a Maine restaurant) .
