How do you ruin Illy?
The food I've had here is very good, but given that there is no seating, I most often stop by here for coffee. They sell a good brand (Illy), but it seems the staff doesn't really know how to pull a good shot. I asked for a machiatto once, and it was a watery, milky mess. I assume coffee is not their forte, but word to the wise-- educate your staff how to do justice to the quality product you are serving.

Fine Addition to the Neighborhood
Some great breads. Some rather pricey. Try the 7-grain -- it is unsurpassed. Add some fine cheese and a salad and you have a meal fit for royalty.

The CUTEST place
What I love about this place, besides the fact that it is really cute and has gourmet offerings, is that they let you try samples of the cakes before you invest in a whole slice. And that being said, everything is delicious, the ricotta cheesecake is so light and fluffy, and the pear tart not only looks great but tastes great too. I highly recommend this place for a snack or lunch.

delicious
delicious! fewer options than le pain quotidien and no seating but the pastries and sandwiches are tasty, interesting combinations and also not too ridiculously priced for their quality. after years of making do with the likes of hot and crusty, this place is a WELCOME addition to the neighborhood.
