We would like to introduce Mao Jia Cai(Mao's home cooking) to our fellow New Yorkers. A number of Chinese restaurants in Beijing, China, are named after Mao and cook Mao's favorite dishes. Mao Jia Ca'?s dishes are very popular and famous in whole China today. Almost every Chinese knows them; even he or she doesn't eat them. If everybody knows these dishes in China, why don't we tell these dishes to our fellows in New York? We offer spicy peppers, pork, fish, crab, chicken. On our menu are some dishes listed below:te dishes: 1. Braised pork and chestnut in brown sauce. 2. Sauteed duck and bitter melon. 3. Sauteed whole spicy red or green pepper. 4. Steamed river fish. 5. Sauteed Chinese vegetables

Delivery...Yum...
My fav place closed and when I tried this one I was definitely swayed to order again. The food was yummy and unlike so many others the person on the other end of the phone was nice and when I re-ordered tonight...nice.

excellent food, best in the city
ok, yes, the service is not the best, however i think it's more of cultural thing and maybe most of the waitress don't really speak English well so they tend to not speak to you. the food is excellent.soup dumplings are my favorite. they are constantly busy especially Sunday nights, so expect to wait in line.

Great food, poor service
I live in the neighborhood and have been ordering from here for a long time. It's convenient, and the food is good. However, the staff is extremely rude. Like a previous reviewer said, they will literally hang up on you. They are very rushed and my mom, who has an accent they mocked, has actually stopped ordering from here because she found their attitude so off-putting. If you want Chinese and don't mind an unpleasant phone call, order in from here. But don't eat there! Don't put yourself through sitting in that environment for an entire meal. I'm sure if they hired new people or adjusted their attitude they'd be everyone's favorite place!

Excellent food, the rudest service ever
I call for delivery quite often as the food is excellent but am constantly surprised at just how rude the front desk people are. In person, during my monthly visits, they don't even look at you when speaking or just don't even respond to an inquiry for a table. On the phone, they lecture on the correct way to order and are just downright rude.

Great food, not great service
Food was delicious but the wait staff were invisible and i had to get up a few times to try to flag them down just to get water.. i would never eat there again, just take out. interested to see if that is any better or will i be waiting forever...

Great food
The food is amazing. try the steam fish or chicken with sour cabbage! of course my favorite is the soup dumplings. staff seems unfriendly because they don't really speak english which might come across being rude. I have been coming here for 4 years and have not been disappointed.

Downhill
This was our favorite chinese restaurant. We ordered tonight and at my hungriest I ate no more than a few bites. The egg roll tasted funny and the cashew chicken was more like a cheap fish than a chicken. It was the most unappetizing chinese food i've had in 27 years. I'll never go back....unless i want white rice of course.
