Best Sichuan in Manhattan
One of the best Chinese restaurants in New York. Definitely the best Sichuan. The dishes are made traditionally and are by and large set far apart from the generic fare in most Sichuanese. They have recently remodeled, having been boarded up for more than a month. We feared it suffered the same "Lost Our Lease" which just befell Le Sans Cullottes a few blocks north. But they're back and the interior is much improved. The best news is that the menu fare remains the same. We've never had a bad dish. But to recommend just two outstanding dishes: try the Chong Qing Spicy Chicken, (fragrant and covered with sautéed dried chilis); and the Crispy Shredded Beef, which with onions and peppers is simply delectable. Your mouth will love you forever. The sliced conch appetizer is also worthy of note. And their lunch specials, which includes an excellent double-cooked pork are reasonable and a good value. Now with wine (and beer).

Poor delivery
Their delivery guys demanded 20% of the bill (it was a large order) in tips both times I ordered. The food is good but I avoid them to avoid the delivery tip hassle.

Good food
I live in midtown and I've been trying to find a good Chinese place to order from and now I found it. They delivery quickly and they taste good.

I agree "Be very careful with bill even for take out"
Whenever I order take out, the bill is always a dollar or two more depending on how much I order. I called once to rectify the bill and the lady who answered, said it was tax (more than 10%). When I ate lunch there, each dish was charged a dollar more, when I inquired about it, the lady was so mad and said that each item is separately taxed. Its a shame they do this but the food is very good.

Be careful with your bill
I went to the restaurant twice in the last two weeks. They made mistakes twice in my bill, with one dollar more in a dish every time. So just pay more attention to your bill...

the delivery is disappointing
This is standard chinese food, good but nothing special, but their delivery service is poor. the delivery guys are not nice, they are never happy with any tip amount you give them and they leave the bag on the floor, can't even hand it to you. There are so many places to get take-out from, this restaurant is going to be off my list pretty soon.
