Great, cheap mexican
Yum! I order the Mexican food - not American or Tex Mex (like the unappetizing nachos), and you can't go wrong with having a wonderful tostada or taco for $3. Bargain, delicious and located conveniently half a block from my door. If you stick to the Mexican dishes, you can't go wrong. Their chilaquiles are also great.

Good tamales fast
I have ordered here several times and their food is good. Let me respond to some of the reviews though: this is working class mexican, not haute cuisine. The interior of the place looks like a very old diner. Their english is never good. However, I can get very good and cheap tamales to my place 30 min after calling them.

like!
Great food. Especially the chicken enchiladas. Doesn't look like much but its the best Mexican food in the neighborhood for sure and there are a lot of Mexican places around there. Open very late. A good place to go for late night tacos and beer with friends. The cakes are actually very good also. All of which is surprising considering it looks like an American breakfast diner.

Amazing carne asada burrito!
I was on my way to Fresco Tortilla on Grand St.--a great grease-pit place for Mexican fast food--and decided to give this place a try instead. I ordered a carne asada burrito with guacamole to go, and when I got my burrito ($4.50!), I was astonished at the quality. This was fresh carne asada, fresh guacamole, fresh beans...delicious! And for $4.50! I can't attest to the rest of the menu, but as far as I'm concerned, this beat out any taco truck I've had in the hills of California, and it was $4.50! In Brooklyn, nonetheless. Someone else go there--please!--and order the same thing. Tell me it isn't a slice of heaven.

It is excellent food in every way
I get the burritos here all the time. I love it. They offer a great selection of fillings and the service is wonderful. All smiles behind the counter. I have yet to try the lengua (tongue) but I look forward to it. !!

Great place, Great food, Great...
My wife and I love it here. The food is great. It may not be the greatest Mexican food, but it is delicious. We have never ordered anything here that we have found greasy or unedible. The breakfast is good, late night is good. The bakery is also good. Great cookies and cakes baked in the diner. Don't trust negative reviews
