Spaghetti Carbonara
I have loved this restaurant for years. Everytime I go there I get the Spaghetti Carbonara. My favorite. But sadly they are slipping. What once was a silky smooth sauce, now seems like scrambled eggs with olive oil. Not the same. Still tasty, but texture of sauce has declined. Atmosphere is wonderful, so is service. Food is tasty. It used to be better though.

wonderful night
Gradisca is my husband's and I favorite restaurant in NYC. It is the perfect date place - romantic, good wine and wonderful food. It was the obvious place for us to have our rehearsal dinner. It exceeded all of our expectations. The staff was amazing and was great to work with. All of our guests kept complimenting the food and how much they loved the decor of the restaurant. We reserved the entire back room and it was perfect - closed off from the front of the restaurant. Many thanks to Gradisca for making our wedding weekend perfect!

Forget all of those super hip places you can't get into
Come here for date night with your wife. Get there a little early and go to the bar towards the back. Ask for Nabil (nah-beal, the bartender). He'll fix you up with some nice cheese and a good glass of wine. Our dinner was fantastic.

Great hidden Italian
We had a delicious, refined Italian dinner at Gradisca recently. The restaurant's "Mama" (the owner's, maybe?) was in town from Italy and was hand-making Bolognese tortellini by hand, so it was one of the specials of the night. Absolutely delicious, albeit quite expensive. One of the best hand-made pastas I've ever eaten. Another special we tried, the salmon, was an excellent summer dishlight and refreshing, not overcooked or overly greasy as salmon can often get. The desserts we tried, the tiramisu and warm flourless chocolate cake, were also spot on. Service was attentive. The atmosphere is dark and cozy. There is outside seating. My only complaint would be the music...set to some commercial-free satellite station playing elevator music. For the kind of high-end, pricey Italian food being offered, they should do better than that.

One of our favorite places in the city!
We have been to Gradisca probably 10 times and it is incredible. Great for a date night and also for a group. The food is incredible, service, and wine! Can't say enough about this place and can't wait to go back.

Perfect in Every Way!
We went to dinner at Gradisca for my birthday a couple of weeks ago, and not one aspect of the evening could have been better! The food was the very best (tasty, fresh), the ambiance was wonderful and the service was perfect (friendly, helpful, but not overbearing). I am recommending this place to anyone and everyone I know!
