My favourite place on East 86th
I just liked the place: the location, the food & the people. Enjoyed their patio.....good for people watching

Great Diner and Awesome Service
This diner has the best food and gives large portions. The staff is friendly and provides adequate service. They are consistent with their food and service and I love coming here!

Consistently rude phone etiquette
I am a frequent customer here via delivery, due to the limited number of 24/7 restaurants opened on the UES. However, the man who answers the phone is contantly rude, rushed, always putting you on hold. I let it slide in the past until they started getting my orders wrong due to his aggressive, rushed phone manner. My baked potato with cheese came bare, my egg white w/ WELL-DONE turkey bacon wrap came with the turkey bacon practically raw, still pale pink sticking out of my wrap - I almost threw up and subsequently disposed of the thing. It is unfortunate that a place like Gracie's doesn't recognize the importance of being NICE to customers, especially those who have been extremely loyal in the past. I have stopped ordering from Gracie's solely bc of this man's rudeness and them messing up orders as a result of his impatience.

disappointing standard food
I have been looking for a good diner in the UES since moving here a year ago. Unfortunately, Gracies undercooked my french toast and my potatoes were slimy and flavorless. The best thing I got was a chocolate milkshake, which was satisfactory. I could also say they did have better diner coffee.

Thanks for 25 Years of Friendliness & Service
Whether it is breakfast, lunch, or dinner -- Gracies has a tasty solution and a serving in abundance. Further, if my wife wants a delicious hamburger at 3AM -- Gracies makes it possible -- faster than hotel room service. One week we had fish at la Grenouille at $72 for a 7 oz piece of fish -- later in the week we had the same fish, 16 oz at diner prices -- Gracies had the better tasting fish! The friendliness of the staff over 25 years is much appreciated.

Pleasant surprise!!!
Just moved to the neighborhood...went in on a whim and was pleasantly surprised. Isn't much to look at but the service and food was excellent! Delivery and open 24/7...such a great neighborhood staple. Can't say enough great things
