Gracie Mews Diner

The food in this diner is really good which is why every six months or so I forget and venture back in. The problem is the staff, who are flat out rude. They all yell back and forth amoung the patrons as though no one is there. It is unbearable to sit in the middle of 6 screaming people. I went back in today and the manager took my credit card and said absolutely nothing to me, not even thank you. I have decided, no matter how much I crave their seafood salad, I cannot ever go back in there, it's tragically, one of the worst dining experiences one can endure.

I've lived on the UES for over five years now, and as such have tried many diners. This is the only one I go to now (with the occassional exception of Cafe Luka due to convenience). Food is great, there is lots of room, it's very bright and airy, service is lightning quick, and it's normal priced.

by far one of the greatest diners on the upper east side. has everything you could ever want on the menu. greek dishes are great. everything is made so fresh. fast delivery. nice staff... no complaints.

I've been to this diner twice--the first time it smelled like a nursing home and the second time it smelled like wet dog. I would not recommend!

GM supplies great food. It is extremly versitile in the roation of menu items. The quality is excelent and the flavors are not drenched by oil. It is quite expensive, but this is one of the only diners where i would order a piece of fish... which is excelent by the way (salmon).

Gracie Mews has overpriced diner food with little to recommend itself. Do not recommend. The food was dry and prices were high.

Gracie Mews is just your run of the mill diner. Nothing special. However, I found the portions to be on the small side and the staff to be cold and unhelpful. Be aware that you can't get Eggs Benedict on a weekday!
