Gracie Mews Diner

I heard good comments about this diner and I decided to order a simple cheese hamburger. Oh my Lord! What I received was a burned and cold hamburger not to mention without ANY cheese. Very disappointed.

I have never been so upset with a response in my life. You hang up on a customer after putting them on hold AND getting verbally frustrated for your poor phone connection?! Okay I will not be ordering from you ever again.

I will never go back to this diner. The poorest service I have ever had in my life. I was sitting at the counter bear the orange juice machine at 10am NO ONE offered me a menu or to take my order for ten minutes. The wait staff that was handle take order kept slamming things on the counter as if he was upset with someone. Finally got my food, burnt and guess what, my water came as I was ready for the bill. Never Order From Here

I've been going to this diner almost every week for the past 7 months or so with my baby daughter....today was the last time I will ever go there again! We were treated with such disrespect by the manager that I will never go back there. They do not care about their customers! And the quality of the food has gone way down!

Gracie Mews is among the best diners on the UES, for sure. Lunch and breakfast is always good and service is prompt. My favorite diner, but not for dinner because they charge prices that compare to some really good restaurants in the neighborhood. I will continue to lunch here.

I've been coming here for many years and am always impressed with the fresh fish and size of the portions. I find the value very good for all that you get. I find the staff courteous and efficient. I'm disabled and they always treat me with respect and go out of there way to be helpful. I think it's the best diner on the UES --and I've been to them all.

The people are nice enough, as NY'ers go, but they ALWAYS get the delivery order wrong. They rush you off the phone so fast that they can't be writing anything down, so I'm sure that's how they goof. The food is good enough that we keep ordering from them, but we arrange it so that there is plenty of time for the always necessary second delivery. :P
