back again
Yup I knew I was gonna be back one day, but I didn't think so fast. This time only to grab a quick sandwich. I must say " t'was worth the bite" (my tooth hurts and I'm having trouble chewing). Anyway, gottlieb's still on my favorites list..

i was there for lunch with a friend and we ordered a matzo ball soup yum like bubby used to make it and a stuffed cabbage wich was great for main dish we had grilled chicken platter and a pastrami sandwich with some side orders, the pastrami was amazing soft and juicy and the grilled chicken the best i ever had .the place is nice and clean and the staff was very helpful, i defiantly recommend this place for your next lunch or dinner enjoy

Gottlieb's? yum!
Definitely the place I will return to.Everyone at the table licked their plates clean... crispy nuggets, grilled chicken well done, knishes - wow, pastrami - OMG! Best I've ever tasted! And the service was great too.

Excellent place for Jewish hungarian style food
Excellent place for jewish style food. clean, fresh and good food. I eat there pretty often and love the food. their specialties include grilled chicken, pastrami sandwiches and real hugarian goulash. on Thursdays and fridays they have the best chulent and kishke in the country. real old bubba's cooking style

Not recommended
i definitely am not a food snob, but the poor flavor of the food coupled with an unclean restaurant left me sneering. the pastrami had the texture and blandness of unseasoned luncheon meat! i was grasping to experience some flavor and couldn't discern any. My 90 year-old aunt, who is kosher, had two hot dogs on club bread with saurkraut. she said they weren't too salty so they were "ok." i feel bad about being so vehemently negative, especially since the guys working there were very pleasant. also i have to add that they have a hefty catering business since there were lots of bulk pickups for the coming sabbath. obviously there is no accounting for tastes.

Disappointed
We were so looking forward to some great food, but oh-so disappointed. Both the corned beef and the pastrami were tough. They had no knishes and something else rather ethnic that Uncle wanted. When we questioned them on their desserts they had pictured on their menu they said they had the cannolis only in the summer. Their timing in the delivery of their food was also poor. We decided to buy desserts elsewhere and went back to Uncle's apt for it and some cofffee. We were so disappointed.

Satisfying
I didn't realize there was a dress code (no shorts/shortsleeve shirts) and called the store from right outside to inquire whether I could have my order brought out to me. The manager invited me to come in regardless, and he and all the customers were perfectly polite to me in spite of my being the only one not in black gabardine. I ordered a turkey with Russian dressing on rye, which was fresh, and sat and read in peace. It's a family atmosphere. People bring their kids, and though one or two children spoke loudly at the time I was there, there was nothing to complain about. As with everywhere else, you pay more for kosher. With pickle and a coleslaw on the side, and a can of soda, my bill came out to $14 and change. But I was more than happy for the chance to play a little gematria with the Hasids and leave $18.
