i was so very pregnant and hungry didnt want to go home and cook so decided for my baby and i to have a quiet and creative meal. The host was friendly. The waiter was genuine in having what i wanted and i actually talked to the chef personally to see how i have enjoyed the meal. I give 4 stars...music was great, little congestion for entertainment....nice.

This was my first time here and i have to say, I haven't been impressed by a restaurant in such a long time that it was a relief when I got here. Although it was a really slow night for GU, my date and I had a quiet,romantic and DELICIOUS dinner! The presentation was perfect, the food itself tasted so good and the drinks were amazing too. The waitress didn't pay much attention to us but we were soaking it all in for us to care. I highly recommend this place for a date night on a weekday when they don't have any performances!

I came visited Gospel Uptown for the first time a few weeks ago with The Uptown Girls Harlem Book Club. Not only is this restaurant the only show in town that accomodates large groups late night, but it's swanky, sexy, and delicious. We arrived to find a friendly waitstaff. They could have been a bit more attentive, but we were seated and served in a reasonable time. The food was delicious, the ambiance was laid back and inviting, and the members of the book club (old and new) enjoyed themselves and were willing to come again. I definitely recommend this restaurant, simply put...it's good for the soul.

Gospel Uptown was an amazing experience from the time I walked in the door until the time I left. I've NEVER experienced the level of excellent service I recieved in NY. The Live Entertainment was great, the service-Great. (when I walked away to the restroom, & returned my napkin was folded by the waiter). The food Exellent! Never have a been some place where the service & food was OUTSTANDING!!!
