Disaster service with an attitude
We were seated to lunch and only received drink menus. When we asked if we were in the right place to eat a meal. The waiter said yes, then 5 minutes later came back with a limited bar/appetizer menu. After asking for the full menu, we waited another 5 minutes with no sign of service. At this point, our timeline was being compressed and resigned ourselves to the bar menu. Unfortunately had to order burgers and tuna tartare. They were pretty good. The slow, inaccurate service continued through the entire meal. One of party had to leave before his entree even arrived. I can't say enough disappointing things about this place. Never again... I had better service at the Cheescake Factory.

You have to do it
Dining at The London is a real taste sensation. We have been dining there with three sisters and we all love food and love to make dinner for friends but also like to go out and eat in star restaurants, so we have got a little of reference (in Holland). It was great! I just have one remark to make. I think it is quite rude to take a glass of wine (even when it is empty) before I had finished the course. I thought it was strange. But we were there to have dinner and that was great. The new thing on the menu was this monkfish with chicken compose. Strange, maybe not a keeper, but good to have tasted.

3,000 Miles To Try
Our visit to Gordon Ramsey's at The London was a highlight of dining experiences. The food was outstanding, but the staff & service was equal in quality ... I felt that as a customer I was appreciated, which is becoming more rare in fine dining restaurants. I'm not a "foody" ... From the tasting menu I tried things I have not tried before ... & whatever it was it was outstanding.

Every one should only eat Kobe beef everyday
Everyone should eat here at least once in their life. It is definitely worth the hefty price tag. We had the three course menu because we wanted the greater choice of entree. It was delicious. The butter poached lobster is a must and the meyer lemon served with it brought just the right amount of acid. My boyfriend opted for the diver scallops which had a nice sear on them. They were just this side of under done but still delicious. I couldn't help think of Gordon screaming on Hell"s kitchen, "Their Raw!" But these were fine. If they have the Kobe on the special you absolutely must get the Kobe. After tasting my boyfriend's I decided that everyone should only ever eat Kobe beef. It was absolutely the best thing I have every eaten and much better then the Kobe at Robuchon. It was truly divine. I had the Venison and although I thought it was fantastic before I tried the Kobe it simply didn't compare. Deserts are fantastic I had the pistachio souffle and the cheese course. If I won the lottery I would definitely go back.

Wonderful Experience
After dining at two other "high-dollar" restaurants in town, we had our doubts that GR would be able to woo us - - but we were wrong. Our dining experience at GR was outstanding. All the wait staff were extra caring and helpful and we totally enjoyed all of our food. We will definitely return and look forward to some more of those delicious Truffles !!

Return Visit even better!
Just returned from a wonderful dinner at Gordon Ramsay. Food was delicious. We had the "Menu Prestige" -- 5 great dishes that were generous portions. Wonderful seared foie gras, trout, scallops and lamb. We chose the cheese course instead of the chocolate course. They brought us both. Yummy bon-bon trolley. Everything was great especially the cotton candy and the honey comb. Also the caramels. They gave us more of the wrapped candy "to go". Service was very attentive. The sommelier is our dear friend formerly from the old Aureole. He did a brilliant job of picking a perfect German Riesling for us. The room was about 3/4 full, and tables were being refilled. I do hope the restaurant stays; it might become my Aureole replacement.

I Had The Time Of My Life!
My daughter, a friend, and I went to Maze At The London for my birthday. I'm such a big fan of Gordon Ramsey that there's was no way I was flying from Atlanta to NYC in the middle of winter and not eat at one of his restaurants. We were seated immediately in a tastefully decorated room. Dress was casual so we were very comfortable. Any woman would agree that the lighting was perfect. Although my palate is not as sophisticated as my television viewing would like it to be, I was committed to trying a bit of everything. We ordered from the Ala Carte menu starting with Ramsey's amazing foie gras, a first for me. It was great. I never liked scallops because I found them to be too chewy for my taste but GR's were sublime. I had the Berkshire Pork Chop and the others had the Short Ribs. The ribs were so tender that they literally melted in your mouth. My only complaint - which probably came from watching too much TV - was that my chop a bit overcooked, although if I'd done it at home, it would have been so well-done! (I ordered a Berkshire Pork Chop the following night at Tom Colicchio's CraftSteak and it was perfectly cooked and more flavorful.) The Maitre'D, Ben, was very knowledgeable and personable. My friend is a well-known actor/comedian and he had both tables on either side of us rolling with laughter all night. Ben joined in while maintaining his dignity. I've eaten in more expensive restaurants around the world but Maze At The London was right on point with any one of them, while delivering bang for our buck. We paid approximately $75 per person including drinks and dessert but the meal could have easily cost 25% more with no complaints from me. Would I go again?! Yes!
