And really there SHOULD be a line out the door. This place has it all, and maybe that's why it's not as crowded as it should be, as many around here seem to favor flash over substance. Menu is fabulous, food both modest and ocasionally quite ambitious, and variety galore. If you like choices, this is the place for you. The Salmon Pie is wonderful and a terrific value. There's a bar area with a nice flatscreen for all our NY Knicks needs, and the back area is quite tasteful and comfortable. Beer list is stellar, even the bathrooms are topnotch. And the French-press coffee is a great touch. Service is good, they're not going to kill you with kindness but the job gets done. All in all, this is a favorite of ours' in the neighborhood and I've been here since 2003, so Im considered an "old-timer". The proprietors have clearly put a lot of thought into pleasing their customers and our estimation, they've succeeded wildly.

Its never too crowded, and the food is great. i mean really good, what they serve here wouldnt be out of place in a really nice restaurant. they pour a perfect pint, and everything is reasonably priced. its starting to get busier now, which is great, dont want to see this place go.

Just what I've been looking for - a mellow, chill neighborhood place. Love popping in for just one after work then staying for a bite and conversation with the bartender, and Robbie the owner. Definitely get the english pub feel, and hear that they are going to start playing english football matches... hello World Cup ! Nice alternative to the always crowded Marlowe/Sons and Diner. No wait, no 'tude and excellent well priced food. Crossing my fingers for them since the space they are in has seen a couple of restau rants come and go.
