Portions are big... food is excellent!
This diner is one of the gems of NYC. Friendly staff, great food and generous portions. Can't ask for more!

Good Stuff Diner = good food.
I ate here twice on my last trip to NYC and I love it. The turkey burger is the best. Make sure you get it with the "special ranch" I think it's called Russian Dressing or something. Great food!!!

Getting Chintzy on the Portions
I go for lunch and loved their Spinach salad. I noticed after awhile they switched from cut up bacon strips to bacon bits! One time they didn't put the hard boiled egg in it, and I returned it. Too bad.

Wonderful
Best place to go after a night of partying. My favorite diner.

Breakfast... no bargain.
While the decor, food and service here are great, you'll get very little in the way of a recession bargain when it comes to the most important meal of the day. A breakfast of 2 eggs with, bacon, toast and homefries will run you a whopping $7.00 plus tax and tip while the same can be had just a few stores west for a mere $3.50. Double the price for table service and snazzy interior design? I'd skip this one for sure.

All good but the food
Lovely setting, fast efficient service, so e were very optimistic when we walked in. The atmosphere was so much more charming than most old school NYC diner. Despite the sleek, retro, upscale look, the food unfortunately was the same as the typical NYC diner -- not the slightest bit different. Biggest problem is overcooked eggs. For the sake of efficiency, most diners seem to cook eggs (scrambled, fried or omlette) on the same, super hot griddle that they cook other food. The result, dry crispy, flavorless eggs. Our omelettes were way over cooked and falling apart. Sausages: same old fat sausages you'd get in any cheap diner - - not real breakfast sausage. Potato options: same old thing - - home fries and french fries - - no hash browns. Coffee: no better than from a street stand. I really like the idea of the place, but until they make a little effort to bring their food up a notch, no need to go out of the way for this one - - except for the bright, cheery atmosphere.
