Lived in the neighborhood for many years and tonight is my last night before moving back to Brooklyn. Of all the hundreds of restaurants I could have chosen for my last meal there really was no choice. It could only have been Good Health. A truly amazing restaurant that is always consistent, delicious, and fresh!!! Almost everything on the menu (except the appetizers) is phenomenal and worth a try.

Delivery was a bit slow at lunch time but food arrived hot. I ordered the Thai box which came with salad, 2 small edamame dumplings, a veggie spring roll, and a small portion of a pad thai-ish noodle dish. Decent amount for the price. All the food was put into the same container so the salad wasn't that appetizing after it had been sitting with all the hot food. The noodles were good but greasier than most pad thai, which makes me wonder exactly how healthy the dishes at Good Health are. Also, the noodles had a strong anise taste to it so if you don't like that spice, I would steer clear. Apple blueberry pie was so-so...as good as you can expect from vegan pie.

I'm vegan, my parents are meat-eaters, but we all LOVED the food. SO GOOD. Service was nice. Atmosphere was perfect. Great place. Really clean, too :)

For a restaurant called "Good Health" which wants to serve veggies/vegans, they put surprisingly little effort into clarifying what ingredients go into their dishes. Though some of their meals are tasteful, eating here causes me too much frustration. I have gone week after week and asked whether things are vegan or not, and each week I receive a different answer! If you're a veggie/vegan, I would not recommend eating here unless you're prepared for some of the following: What do you mean these pancakes aren't vegan, you said they were last week!? If this really vegan, than why is it served with a side of butter (real butter made from cow milk)? Why is there cheese in my macrobiotic dish? What do you mean you don't know what casein is? Why is there a fish bone in my vegetarian salad? The waiters don't seem to care about making up answers on the spot...

I order from Good Health at least once a week. I became a vegetarian a few months ago and this place has become my go-to (My roomate, who isnt a veg, enjoys ordering from here too). I love the Macrobiotic Platter so much. Not only is the food delicious, the delivery is fast, friendly, and efficient (I have never been to the restaurant). The only slight negative I can say thus far is that I have a been a bit disappointed by the appetizers (edaname dumplings/hummus). Other than that this place is phenomenal.

I have eaten here for at least once a week for the past three years and I see no reason to stop. When they closed for remodeling for a couple of weeks, I was told their phone rang off the hook with people asking for their reopening date. The food is some of the best veggie-friendly fare I've come across in years. It draws every single one of Manhattan and outer borough vegetarians on a regular basis. This is by far the best bang for your buck.
