    Best desserts ever!

The most exciting thing about eating at GETE is when the baker comes up from the basement with her latest delicious creation. The whole restaurant stops to see what she has. And it's always wonderful! I'm a big fan of the Coconut Cake, but her daily specials are amazing and not the usual. My son begs for her pumpkin pie! Every year on my birthday I order one of her special cakes to celebrate, and every birthday has been a yummy one.

    Worth the Wait

Sunday brunch was amazing. Omelets are the best -- made European-style without browning.

    Great place to eat!!

I have been to GETE many...many times. I think the food & service are terrific and their desserts are very good as well. If you are in the mood for traditional American cuisine - this is the place for you!

Not sure what the big deal is

I think this restaurant is a good example of "location, location, location!" All it really seemed to have was a good location, but the food - the service - the prices, eh. I went here once for breakfast/brunch and didn't enjoy it. I might give it another try if I were in the area and really hungry, but otherwise, in this area where there are tons of other places to eat, I would eat elsewhere...

    Very ordinary

My girl friend and I waited on the line for 30 min. We were pretty excited to try this place out but we were disappointed. honestly, i think i can make better pancakes. what's the hype??

    my favorite place for breakfast

my favorite place for breakfast. the apple pancakes are wonderful and the decor is different than anywhere else in the city. It's comfort food in a cozy and warm atmosphere.

    The End Of An Era

With higher prices and blander food this place has finally dropped out of one of my favorites list. Everything that was remarkable about eating here has become just another "no big deal" dining experience. The food arrives fast enough but it has not been very good for the past year or so. I tried to give this place every chance because I loved it back in the 90s, but now it's just another fast food joint with nothing very special about it.
