    Neighborhood surprise

Live on the West side and Chai at 55th and 8th has been "our" Thai restaurant, and local standard. Ate here with our son and DIL - fantastic. The spiciness and quality of the food was fantastic - Chai th0ugh good, pales by comparison. Our son and DIL have ruined us for Thai! Highly recommended.

    tiny portions!

No complaints about the quality of the food. But the entrees are moreorless half the size of what you might expect. I'm not a big eater, but I easily could eat two of those entrees. Its definitely not a good value although the food is good. Its unfortunate, but I probably wouldn't order from there again.

Portion for 8.50 fried rice dish should be larger

When you order a fried rice dish that is majoritively just rice for 8.50, I expected it to be a big size. It seemed kinda skimpy. The food was decent.. not amazing though.

So happy to have found this place!

Real little gem in the E90's! Great taste, nice presentation, kind service, and ambience is cozy. We have not tried the delivery yet, but we will do so, and we will also be back!

    Call it in

Great take out. Much more variety of flavor and less grease than other Thai places.

Solid Thai but relatively small portions

Gong's location is kind of odd - if you live in the neighborhood 99th and 3rd may seem like a strange place for a Thai restaurant. But no matter - the food is good. If you work at the nearby large teaching hospital there is a discount. Perhaps the only issues are that they only accept cash and that the portions aren't that big. But then again maybe I'm just fat.
