We Love Gong
Gong is a cozy, laid back place to have a great meal. It is a little gem in a neighborhood without many options. The food is excellent- good standard noodle dishes, great papaya salad, and the staff is super friendly. We eat here often and can't say enough good things about it!

Best Thai and Best Delivery!
Great place for delicious Thai!! We order from Gong every Sunday night and the food is always delivered ridiculously fast. The Pad Thai and Pad See Ew are delicious and the portions are not small at all. The packaging may seem small but they pack a huge amount of noodles in them. Overall, it is our go to place for delicious Thai! The other places up here are all OK, but Gong is by far the most delicious.

Pretty Good
This place has decent food. I think it's solid Thai fare at a nice price. I often get the pad kee mao and spring rolls delivered, and I like their menu. Lunch special is good value. My only complaint is that they don't take credit cards. This is NYC, get with the times. Decent date spot and the staff is nice.

Best Thai in UES
I've been eating and ordering from here at least once a week since they opened. I love Thai food and have been to Thailand three times and can say that the food here is authentic and high quality! Everything is always fresh and you can tell the chefs know what they're doing. The service and atmosphere are great when you dine in and they are fast when you order delivery. This is definitely one of my favorite places in the neighborhood and everyone I share it with loves it the same.

Dreadful
I ordered the Thai Beef Salad and the Pad Ke Mow with chicken. An authentic Thai beef salad has delicate and tender slivers of beef, a tangy dressing with just enough chilli to give it nice hum and lots of crispy greens. Sadly, this salad had big chunks of beef, no spice in the dressing (itself a bland affair) and minimal crispy greens. As for the Pad Ke Mow, it was a stodgy clump, with burnt slabs of chicken, couldn't taste the ginger at all. Very disappointing.

Neighborhood surprise
Live on the West side and Chai at 55th and 8th has been "our" Thai restaurant, and local standard. Ate here with our son and DIL - fantastic. The spiciness and quality of the food was fantastic - Chai th0ugh good, pales by comparison. Our son and DIL have ruined us for Thai! Highly recommended.
