A weird yet intriguing kind of place
Golden Cafe is bizarre. It's a Polish restaurant that has salsa and chips as an appetizer. When here I would stick to classic Polish dishes (and not the kooky hybrids on the menu) - some things are excellent. My friend and I shared the fried trout with garlic - it was excellent. Our appetizer, some sort of spinach/dip mix in phyllo cups, was a miss. The beet salad side dish was very good. The spinach blintzes were a miss. The banana/nutella blintz for dessert was fantastic. It's real hit-or-miss here. The prices are low. The atmosphere isn't so great (too brightly lit at night). The waitress was very attentive and tried hard to make us happy. All-in-all, it's a crap shoot - but when you hit it right at Golden Cafe, you'll be very pleased. Recommended with strong reservations - be prepared for an unusual experience here.

Delicious Lunch
The food was excellent and more than enough to satisfy. Cozy atmosphere and pleasant service made for a wonderful lunch experience. Try the potato pancakes

are you kidding me?
how come no one knows about this place? We had heard of this place from our co-worker, so we decided to go and did not regret it! The food was awesome, not only the taste but the huge plates. Their trout is to die for, with garlic butter OMG. The service was very pleasant and funny. And the prices are just ridiculous, for the amount of food we had got on our plate: are you kidding me! it was a steal

B'day dinner
I was celebrating my friend B'day party there. The food was very good, it really tasted like homemade :) and is not expensive. Friendly service made us feel comfortable. Dinner atmosphere was very cozy and private. You should go and see how it's decorated (really golden) and try one of the cook's specials. We will come back, definitely!

Great place to eat
Very cozy atmosphere. it's the kind of place that you could go by yourself in the afternoon to eat lunch with a newspaper or with friends for brunch. I think so ot too many people know that place.

what a steal
i'm here every weekend. a no brainer for good brunch and a steal at $6 a plate. don't ask for mimosas or other stupid crap you'd normally get elsewhere.
