Great smoothies and juice bar. I've loved almost everything I've eaten there. The restaurant is small, but chic. The prices are reasonable, with small plates starting at $8. Service is friendly, but sometimes slow. And don't be surprised if you spot an A-list celeb at the next table.

Great place- I'm vegan and thought the food was wonderful. The atmosphere is awesome- quite swanky, funky, and beautifully decorated. Amazing cocktails!

I went here with a vegetarian friend visiting from out of town, and since we've explored and LOVED a number of other veggie/vegan eateries in the city, we had high expectations. Unfortunately, they were not met. We got the smoked eggplant appetizer recommended in a review, and I thought it was very subpar. Our entrees were okay, but nothing special and certainly short of their price tag. Service was fine, though the restaurant is tiny and crowded and I was rubbing elbows with the guests at the next table. Maybe this whole experience was a fluke, but I won't be going again to find out.

I took my non-veggie boyfriend here. I was a little nervous since he has an aversion to tofu, but he really enjoyed it. I recommend any of the seitan dishes - so yummy. My bf got the vietnamese noodles, which were good and surprisingly spicy. I do wish that their prices were a little bit more reasonable. But if you're looking to save money, I recommend getting a few small plates with a salad or soup. This is also a great way to sample more of their unique dishes.

Gobo is delicious, and "supermodels-posing-as-waiters" jokes aside, the service and the food are fantastic. The menu is filled with dishes that successfully tempt omnivores, but can be enjoyed by vegetarians as well. No small feat. The chocolate layer cake tastes a bit too dry and, well, "healthy" for my preferences, but other than that, you really can't go wrong.

Went with my boyfriend last night and what a treat it was! I'm vegetarian, and its very hard to find a nice place to eat . There seems to be a ton of crunchy and healthy places, but not very many sleek and modern vegetarian restaurants. I go out and dine every week and the prices are cheap to moderate for New York City. Especially as nice of a restaurant as Gobo is, the prices are VERY reasonable. The wine list is also not very expensive at all. All in all.. it's a GREAT value. I HIGHLY recommend this to everyone and I've been told that its a secret celebrity hang out too. Go make a reservation now!!
