i can microwave food at home for free

my veggie burger tasted like it had been microwaved and basically fell apart as i ate it. got some dumplings too but didn't really do it for me. service was a little rushed even tho we were the only people there. i wish i had that half-hour of my life back.

    Is there a new chef?

I have eaten at Gobo a few times over the last three years--the first time was extremely memorable and delicious. This last Saturday night the food was badly prepared. I took a date and was embarrassed by the overly salted and bland dishes. What changed?

    Yummy!

So Good!!! I absolutely love this place! The vietnamese noodle dish and the New England rolls are amazing. The seitan skewers are also great. Even meat-eaters will love this place. If only there was a location in mid-town!

    Greasy

"GOBO is an inviting scene for all people to share in the spiritual experience of healthy vegetarian dining. Take a journey to the GOBO country kitchen to discover "food for the five senses". Leave with an awakening of both your body and mind!" While the food is tasty I have found each dish very greasy - smothered in oil and sauce and not healthy. I expected a healthy dining experience.

    Just fantastic!

Fantastic all around! This is one of my favorite New York spots. The atmosphere is calm and elegant without being uptight. The food is creative and delicious, and of course good for you too. My favorite is the mushroom & soy platter (which is made to look a little like scallops), and the avocado tartar. The fresh juice is finally worth it. I am vegetarian but i took my brothers (who are BIG meat eaters) and they were over the moon! Some reviews I read complained of too much oil, but I disagree: to me the olive, sesame, and other vegan oils have a healthy flavorful taste and are not heavy at all.

    Disappointed

I had high hopes for this restaurant. Unfortunately the meal tasted salty, the restaurant was extremely loud and they charged me $2 to hang my coat. It was also pricey. I won't be going back.
