We had a vegetarian friend in from out of town, so we came here for the first time. Our reservations were early/6 pm, and the place was absolutely packed already. The menu is very extensive, but the staff was patient and charming and nice, and didn't rush us out at meal's end. The food across the board was well presented and quite excellent, and it's a very pretty room. I'd go back here without hesitation and I'm a meat eater.

I'm a lacto-ovo vegetarian, but this is vegan at it's best! Especially for those who appreciate organic food, I give this a starred rating.

Gobo is pricey, but fun. Communal tables and lots of small dish and app. Choices make it hard to stop ordering. I was expecting something like zen palate, but this is not comparable at all. the quality is much better and the service is fast and friendly. Stick with the quick bites and small plates. the only thing I've ordered and not liked was the sweet risotto. These are the best: five spice tofu rolls (so amazing, fried but light), vietnamese spring rolls (refreshing), pine nut vegetable medley (with lettuce wraps, the best on the menu), vietnamese spicy stir-fry rice noodle with bean sprouts, vietnamese spicy stir-fry rice noodle with bean sprouts. Presentation is wonderful.

I had just become a vegetarian when I went to Gobo for the first time, and had no idea what to expect. The food was flavorful and there were many, many choices on the menu. The service was kind and helpful, and the health drinks are amazing and unique! This food fools you into thinking it's not vegetarian. Try it!

This place has amazing food. A few of my friends told me about the place and we all went there. It was just perfect. Quiet restaurant, great waiters, awesome food. I'm not even a vegetarian and I was completely impressed. Just an overall great place.

I've spent my whole life in the kitchen, and for the past 7 years I've been a vegitarian. The food at Gobo is below par. The titles of the dishes are far more divine than the dishes themselves. The setian is over cooked, the sauces are over reduced, too salty, too tangy, and too processed. If you want a to have a healthy and divine vegitarian meal hike over to the east village and go to Caravan of Dreams. If you want unhealthy deep fried but delicious mock meat go to Red Bamboo. Don't waste your time here where the food is over priced, unhealthy, and mediocre.

This is absolutely my all time favorite place to eat! It's fantastic! Everything is always perfect, food and service.
