The food at this tiny takeout shop is delicious. I had a medium chicken curry, which came out to 8 bucks and which I couldn't finish it was so much food. I don't know what they put in the sauce, but it's awesome. So much so, that I suspect eating it too often will kill you. Still, much better than the alternative fast foods and the people at the counter are actually nice!

The curry is delightful! The chicken katsu is so tender and crispy at the same time. It's just like in Japan.

When I was in Japan, I went to a place called GoGo Curry to eat lunch after a rousing day of Akihabara-ing. It was the best curry I have ever tasted. It was robust, full of body, and extremely layered in excellent flavors, and most importantly it was filling. I found out today from a friend that there has been a GoGo Curry in New York since November, so of course I had to go. It is still the best curry I have ever tasted. Located on 38th street between 7th and 8th aves in Manhattan, if you are a fan of Japanese curry then this is a must-visit. Get a plain GoGo Curry with no meat. It's not even necessary to have meat. You will understand. Price is roughly between $5-$8 per dish depending on size and toppings. The small is surprisingly large. I only had the plain curry, but I will be sure to try out the rest.
