With a concept that can't fail, this eagerly anticipated addition to the neighborhood didn't fail to deliver - a kick in my wallet. The burgers are undoubtedly good - high quality meat and toppings, but come without sides and average $11-12 a pop. The bartender and service seemed generally good, but they do emit a 'hurry up and pay me' vibe. It's not gonna be a staple for this upper eastsider but I will swing by once in a while to check on their amusing shake/burger specials.

A group of 5 of us dined here on a Friday night, and the burgers were delicious. There are not many great burger joints on the UES- so aside from JG Melons, I'd say this is is a top pick! Lots of space, too.

I went to Go Burger last night, a Sunday night, at 7pm. It was crowded and had great energy. The decor is simple and nice. We waited about an hour for the table. Things started fine...the appetizer came quickly and was very tasty. However, the service went downhill right after that. We waited at least an hour (after our appetizer plates were cleared) for our meal to come. It was only 2 burgers and 1 order of fries. People who sat after we did at surrounding tables got their food before us. Our waitress was inattentive and kept saying our food "was on its way"...clearly untrue. When the food finally did come, it was very good. Then we ordered a shake to go, and the check. Our bill came and was paid, and we continued to wait another 20 minutes + for one milkshake. Again, our waitress saying it would be out shortly. We did not appreciate being pacified, or lied to. All-in-all, the burgers are very good, although overpriced, and the service is very poor. I am hoping this will resolve itself as they find their groove.
