Yummy and great for large group meals

We had a party of 20 last night for a bachelorette dinner. Unlike every restaurant in the city, they were so accommodating of the reality that numbers often change at the last minute, and most importantly, didn't force us to sign a contract! Service was excellent, bonus for super flirty waiters, and the food was truly delicious. Would go back in a heartbeat!

    Read the menu

Tubetti, conchiglie? it's just missing the plain not striped penne! This is the kind of pasta you eat at Italian hospitals in Italy...the only worth thing here is pizza....forget about the rest!

Skip It - Too Many Other Great Italian Restaurants

I don't often review a place but felt compelled to after such a disappointing dining experience. There are way too many excellent italian restaurants in lower manhattan to waste your time and money here. If priced at half the price the food would have been barely acceptable, but at $17 a plate now way.

    Not Recommended

This place is a beautiful restaurant killed by poorly executed food dishes, awful waiter service, and LOUD LOUD LOUD music. We purposely made our reservation on the later side so we wouldn't be in the middle of the dinner rush where they're pushing for turnover yet even though being one of the last seatings of the evening we were completely rushed through our meal. We were seated at the table with the $40 bottle of wine we just ordered at the bar and within 10 seconds the waiter is hovering over us asking us to order. He then rambled out some specials which I could barely hear due to the music being so loud... We didn't hear from the waiter the rest of the sitting except for when he tried to ping us for desserts. The menu reads fantastic but it is very poorly executed. I had the rigatoni with sausage and broccoli rabe...where was the sausage..I couldn't find it. Tasteless and dry? You bet. This dish is pretty simple to make and other Italian restaurants fare much better at it frankly. The pizza we order was also bland. Do yourself a favor and pass over this place.

Great great food...did not like the service

Let me start by saying that I loved the food I ordered. Although my husband's ravioli was overcooked. The service really turned me off they weren't warm or friendly, just pretty cold and not interested in taking dessert orders.

    Amazing food and atmosphere!

Really relaxed place with amazing food! We had a group of 6 people and 2 other friends decided to drop by and they were accommodated to our table in a second (and it was Friday and very busy), no questions asked or attitude about two additional guests. Polpo and beef carpaccio were delicious, deep fried dough is a must, pizza with truffle sauce and pizza with bresaola were so yummy….I loved it and I will be back soon. I highly recommend it!

    Great low key Italian

We were lucky enough to get seated out in the back garden on a beautiful night and had a fantastic dinner. We started with the simple but excellent burrata w/ tomatoes and basil as well as prosciutto w/ figs that were very good. For entrees we had the special -- tagliatelle with a veal and beef rago that was amazing, and a salmon w/ artichokes and other things I can't remember now but was delicious. We had a great bottle of rosso di monalcino and finished it off w/ some of the best tiramisu I've had in a while. I will definitely be back again soon.
