Chose the restaurant based on MP reviews and proximity to theater. I chose off the pre theater prix fixe menu and my husband made his choices for the a la carte menu. Everything we ordered was delicious and very nicely presented. Wait staff is excellent - made very good suggestions. Highly recommend and plan to return.

Pig and Fig Old Fashioned!!! All reviews and ****'s are accurate. Love the place and especially the classy riff on a classic cocktail.

I have had many wonderful dinners at Glass House Tavern, so far superior to the other restaurants in the area. I am going there again tonight, I always look forward to another great experience.

We had a pre-theater dinner here last night. We sat in the large upstairs area that is spacious and not noisy. Our server was very attentive, but not intrusive. The food was excellent and comes in sizeable portions--in fact the Caesar salad for one can easily be shared. My free-range chicken was delicious as was my husband’s duck breast. The service was quick. And it's a nice convenience that there are three uni-sex bathrooms just off the upstairs area so ladies can make a restroom trip prior to heading to theater avoiding those mile-long lines you encounter at the theater itself. This is a terrific addition to the Broadway-area dining scene.

Overall, the whole dining experience was very good to excellent! Attentive, polite and friendly service. Heard about this restaurant being a gem in the theater district and that is certainly correct. Had dinner during restaurant week 1/23/13 and the menu that was offered was excellent. Food was delicious and perfectly cooked and prepared even though the mashed potatoes were cold. Wine list actually had wines we were familiar with so that was a big plus and priced moderate not too high as most restaurants seem to inflate wine bottle prices terribly high. We will back again really soon when attending the theater...making this "A Must Go To" restaurant for us pre-theater!

We loved it. The food was piping hot when it came out. It was delicious. And we became so enamored talking to our waiter Brian that the time flew by up to the time we had to leave for our show. He dispatched everything very efficiently. Selections were awesome and our choices were great. Definitely a good choice for the theater district.

What a pleasant surprise. I looked for a convenient restaurant to the theater in zagat on 47th street. This one appealed to me the most, and it was delightful. friendly service, comfortable and attractive setting - upstairs. It was a very good choice. i shall be sure to return.
