Finally! Good pizza delivery for the W. 90s!

I've been living on the Upper West Side for about 6 years and have been so disappointed by the lack of good New York City pizza delivering to my hood right above 96th. The pie came hot and crusty (as opposed to the soggy mess you get delivered from these other places). I can't believe it took me this long to discover this place... but better late than never. Finally, I've found my neighborhood pizza joint!

    Real Italian, real good

If your looking for good basic Italian staples, this is your place. I've only ordered takeout & never dined in. The food is nothing fancy, but the taste does not disappoint, it is really pretty good! I have ordered a variety of dishes and been pleased with each. Their delivery times are great, the food always arrived fast and hot.

Best pizza shop in the neighborhood.

I love Giovanni's - reliably great pizza, still run by an Italian family who knows what they're doing - the pasta is great too and an especially great value - try the spagetti carbonara or spagetti with meatballs - you won't be sorry.

    Good, Cheap, and Fast Delivery

I have ordered from Giovanni's three times so far. I went out on a limb and ordered 3 cheese slices and some beverages. The delivery was very quick. I was pleasantly suprised with the size of the slices and how good they were. I have ordered from there two times since and have not been disappointed. I also ordered the baked ziti. I wasn't really impressed with the way it looked, but it was pretty good. I'm actually considering ordering it now.

    the perfect pizza joint

its not gourmet. it's just great pizza. its at its best when you order a whole pie. slices can be great, but not always...but they're still worth it.

    great pizza

We have never been to giovanni's, only ordered delivery, but the pizza is the best on the upper west side, better than viva, famiglia, perfecto etc. Try it!

    Perennial customer

I've been ordering from Giovanni's for nearly three years. Which is to say, I've continued to order grom Giovanni's for three years. I think that more or less speaks for itself. A quick word on the pizza. If you're looking for a crackery Roman style crust, this isn't your place. If you're looking for a pie topped with sautéed cremini and taleggio, this isn't your place. But the plain pie, or slice if you prefer, is pretty damn good. It's a giant pie with a measured amount of mild tomato sauce, and a healthy sprinkling of domestic, non-descript white cheese. The crust is more chewy than crunchy, but it's not doughy. For an implant to New York, this is how I imagined corner pizza shop pies should be. If nothing else, the service and quality are consistent. If you wanna be wowed, go elsewhere.
