Giorgio's Brick Oven & Wine Bar

It's now been over 1.25 hours since we ordered. We've been told (again) that it is on it's way. This is after having to deal with the extremely rude people on the phone with a I don't give a s--t attitude. Don't order from here if you actually want to eat any time soon. Also, while I'm at it, this used to be a pizza place - a local pizza place - now it's a pizza place and wine bar. Nothing changed other than the name and jacked up prices. Wine bar? seriously. Whatever you do, I would recommend you just stay away.

We bought the same voucher for a wine class for 2 and 2 bottles of wine. A few weeks before it expired, I called to make a reservation. They were booked solid until it expired, but the guy on the phone said he'd put us in for the next day, Tuesday the 8th, don't worry about it. I said thank you so much for accommodating us, I really appreciate it. A few days later I realized Tuesday was not the 8th, Monday was. After a few calls back, I finally got in touch with someone on the 8th to verify which day I was down for. She said they don't have wine classes on Mondays or Tuesdays, and even so, they couldn't give us anything because our voucher expired the day before. I said that I spoke with someone weeks ago who said it was ok, that I should be in the books, and she was just plain nasty to me and called me a liar before hanging up on me. She said that had I come in the day before, they could have at least given me the wine. Had I known that they were going to be slime and not honor my reservation like a respectable establishment, I would have. I can only imagine that if they're that rude to their potential customers, then their establishment is not worth going to.

If the customer service is important to you, this is not a place to order a pizza. We have lived on UES for 10 years. We have always loved Giorgio's pizza but rarely ordered delivery. Tonight we called, and my husband was disparaged by the person taking the order. Apparently, my husband was difficult to understand and did not order pizza the right way. By the end of the conversation, we decided not to place an order at all. This is unfortunate because the customer service appears to be as bad as the pizza is good. We will not be returning to Giorgio's.

In brief: mislead us about a delivery error and delay; cold pizza; mediocre food. We ordered from Giorgio's because my brother used to live in the 'hood (10 yrs ago) and highly recommended it. What a disappointment. First, they called to say they sent the right salad, wrong pizza so keep the salad and send back the pizza. They promised the right pizza is on the way from a separate deliverer. The salad came and I had to call Giorgio's for the delivery guy because he wanted to leave the wrong pizza. I was told again the right pizza was on its way with another delivery person. I called after ten more minutes and was told the pizza should be there imminently. Finally, at least 15 minutes after the first delivery the pizza was delivered by the original delivery guy. Misleading at best. The pizza that was delivered was now cold. The so-called roasted eggplant tasted like the breaded eggplant from eggplant parmesan and not roasted. The balsamic vinaigrette was so-so on a decent salad. I guess it was much better ten years ago.

We live around the corner from Giorgio's and stopped in one day for some wine and pizza. It turned out to be some of the best pizza that I have ever had! They have an incredible four cheese pizza that is amazing! Highly recommend this cute little neighborhood spot!

I live right around the corner from giorgio's, so decided to try it one night. the service, food, and wine list are excellent. i recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants a relaxed night out!

we get pizza from here alot and it is very good, consistent and a solid slice.I highly recommend it. It has a cozy environment and the owners are always there an d working hard to please there customers.....
