    Shh.. it's a secret gem!

Normally I wouldn't want all of NYC to know my fave restaurant because I don't want it to lose its special flavor. Yet because Giorgio's is so incredible, I want it to stick around for as long as possible, which means I must get the word out about this place. The food is impeccably prepared, from the sesame-crusted tuna, calamari and pork tenderloin, to the mushroom risotto, divine coffee and warm chocolate cake, your meal will simply melt in your mouth. The service is warm and accommodating; the staff makes you feel right at home from the second you walk in. The prices are very reasonable, and they occasionally offer specials such as "$15 off any bottle of wine." The setting is romantic, dimly lit, with comfortable seating and quiet conversation, making this a great date place. It certainly isn't your typical trendy, chichi restaurant (the bathrooms are sub-par: an instant indicator for many New York diners), but the experience is nothing short of exquisite. Highly recommended!

    My Special Birthday Place

I visited New York from the UK for four days to celebrate my 50th birthday. I happened upon this place somewhat by accident whilst trying to trace a place recommended to me in the Gramercy district. The whole experence was without fault, I am accustomed to good food and this was well up to my high standards. The wine list was extensive and the service first class. The final bill demonstrated that Giorgo's is not expensive.

    New Favorite Restaurant

Giorgio's is a terrific restaurant offering excellent food, service and atmosphere. My boyfriend and I loved this restaurant. The service is impeccable since the staff makes you feel like a regular on your first visit. They are extremely attentive and warm. The quality of the food is superb. The ingredients are unique and fresh. Even the portions are fairly large for a NYC restuarant but not overwhelming. I had the red snapper which was the softest fish I ever tasted. My boyfriend had the tuna which was well done on the outside and raw on the inside. Absolutely delicious! I highly recommend this place to anyone that appreciates great food, great service and a great atmosphere. We have been to many of the expensive restaurants all over the city and Giorgio's is on the top of the list.

Good food, amazing service, warm atmsph.

The starters are just great, and the quality and quantity, just perfect. The services very gentle, friendly and impecable. The atmosphere warm, not casual, but yet not uptight. Great place, I've already recommended it to friends.

why we live in New York

This is the kind of restaurant that makes you glad you live in New York--it's a quiet presence in the neighborhood, nothing flashy or strained, just Very good food and very good service and an exceptionally inviting and pleasant atmosphere. And there it all is, just a few walkable blocks away?

A Terrific Gem Right in Our Backyard

On the suggestion of a co-worker, we tried Giorgio's of Gramercy last week. We were thrilled to find such a terrific and different dining experience two blocks from home. We were greeted like old friends by Paul, the Maitre 'D, and everyone else. The food was fresh, delicious, plentiful and worth every penny. The restaurant is tastefully decorated without trying too hard. There was no pressure to rush you through your meal. The total dining experience was very enjoyable, and we are going back tonight. That makes two times in a week, so Giorgio's must be doing something right. Keep up the great job.

    Excellent all around

Giorgio's is a great restaurant with excellent service and wonderful food. The waiters/waitresses really know what their talking about...the food which was recommended to us was amazing. I liked the privacy of the location. You can't even really tell that its a restaurant becuase of its thick heavy velvet curtains which disguise the entrance. But once you enter and sit down you realize that you've found a gem. Its a great place with a great setting for all occasions!
