    Very good, slightly overrated

Have been here twice. The service is great in a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere. However, based on the other reviews here, the food is a bit overrated. It's very good but not truly amazing. Def worth trying if you've never been though.

    My favorite nyc restaurant

This is by far my favorite place to eat in the city. i love to try new places, but when i know i want good food and a relaxing place to dine...this is where i go. my boyfriend and i think this is the perfect date night restaurant and we always recommend it to friends who haven't tried it yet.

    Great food

Recently came here with a party of 8 to celebrate my birthday. The only dissapointing factor was that they couldn't seat us at a round table, otherwise, near perfection. Everyone loved their dishes and drinks. The sea scallops were especially delicious. The service was attentive and our waitress made some excellent suggestions without pressuring us. Though I didn't foot the bill, I was told that for the quality of the experience, it was more than reasonable.

Gourmet Experience @ Half the Price

I'm not much of a gourmet, but I'm marrying a real foodie. So it's tough to impress her with my choices, not that she's a snob about it, mind you. I heard about this place through work (I work in the hospitality industry where finding quality restaurants for clients is considered serious business) and decided to try it out with my lady as this one was within my modest budget. We were pleased with the welcoming staff, the cozy-romantic decor, relaxed-unpretentious atmosphere, smart and friendly service, and finally by the well-prepared and generally proportioned food & desserts. My gourmet wife-to-be was suitably impressed. And I'm happy to report that for the price you'd pay at other top restaurants for one, you can easily feed two, and that's not a little thing in NYC.

    High Quality Food

I rarely post reviews, but I had to for this restaurant. One of the best restaurants in NYC. The food is absolutely delicious. I've been here several times and have never been disappointed. The food is extremely tasty and the portions are surprisingly large.

    A Treat

We had to cut short a visit to NYC due to the snow storm coming in. I'm so glad that Giorgio's was able to switch our reservation from Saturday to Friday night, because it ended up being great enough to take our minds off our curtailed trip. There was a yummy smoked salmon starter that the chef sent out, and my husband's choices from the $30 prix fix menu were all delicious. I splurged and had a salmon special with truffled potatoes that was also wonderful. The service was relaxed but amply attentive, and it was a true pleasure to be able to have a quiet meal in a nice atmosphere on a Friday night. It was a treat.

    Fabulous food, great value

Ever since we got invited to a birthday dinner here in 11/05, we've been back 3 times, and we're going again next month. This is now our "go-to" place for entertaining clients, colleagues, visitors and special friends. It's in the Flatiron/Gramercy area, but hidden away, off the beaten path. The atmo, food and service are excellent! The waitstaff know how to make wine suggestions. Even the recent $35-prix-fixe "Restaurant Week" was special - no skimpy second-rate choices. Always fabulous. My only complaint is that it has a very tight bar space and the dining room is a bit crowded, but that's NYC real estate I suppose!
