    Great food and service

Solid neighborhood place. Reasonable prices and good food. Had a minor incident with the food and the manager promptly came over and replaced the dish in question. He even gave us all desserts on the house!

    Incredibly nice staff/oy the parties

Saturday evening my girlfriend and I stopped in a Georgio's on a whim. We sat at the bar and quickly decided to eat at the bar rather than wait for a table. The food took a while to come out and we noticed several couples waiting for tables for an extended time. The bartender was multi-tasking and we noticed several large parties in the rear which clearly slowed service to a crawl. The bartender treated us to another round of drinks before the food came. The salad was good, the tuna and other main course was terriffic. Because of slow service we were also treated to dessert and coffee. Other couples were similarly comped. Although the evening was long the courtesy of the staff was exemplery. I am confident that outside of the holiday season things are much more normal, and I shall return without hesitation.

    Good

I went here last night on a whim with a friend. It was busy and crowded but they seated us without reservations. Amuse bouche: bruschetta (eh). I had the $35 Dinner prixe fixe menu: started with fried oysters (good and tender), then the seafood pot pie (large portion, okay but too many carrots), and ended with the smore's bread pudding (delicious). My friend had the pork chop with sweet potatoes (he liked it as well). We each had one glass of wine. Everything came out to be $95 with tax but before tip. The food overall was good but don't expect 5 stars. The serving sizes are large (couldn't finish my meal) and the prices are decent. Even though service was a little spotty on a busy night, the waitress made sure to apologize for her lack of attention which was fine for us. She was in good spirits and made us laugh. Also, the host made sure to come around and check up on us when the waitress couldn't. It's a nice home-y type of place that I would go to regularly.

    Delicious Food, Romantic Atmosphere

My boyfriend and I shared a delicious Valentine's dinner at Giorgio's of Gramercy this past weekend. We both enjoyed tender and flavorful filet mignon for our main courses, and a scrumptious s'mores pudding for dessert. My boyfriend also indulged in a lobster bisque appetizer, to which he offered rave reviews :) The restaurant's atmosphere was romantic and intimate, adding to our Valentine's experience. I'd love to return sometime soon, and in the meantime, encourage you all to give it a try!

Great atmosphere but the food was justok

We had dinner At Giorgio's on a Sat night. We were welcomed with a really nice bruschetta appetizer on the house. We started with a goat cheese and greens salad, it was just ok and the presentation was not very good, just a hump of lettuce on the plate with too much salad dressing. For our entrees I had the Red Snapper special and my husband had the Lamb. Again the snapper was nothing special but my husband really liked his lamb dish. His only complaint was that it was way too much food and that the presentation could have been better. Maybe they were having an off night, I don't know. I would go there again though.

    Good but could be better...

Had a hard time rating this place. Started off with the little neck clams as the appetizer..I was not impressed. The clams were a little gritty and I dont believe it was because they used corn flour, as is customary, but rather poor cleaning of the clams. The clams also came in what seemed to me a soup rather than a sauce which was slightly confusing. The vegetables in the soup/sauce were a bit bland. For the main entree I had the King Salmon with squash and my hubby the seared scallops (usually a steak man he opted for something new) and we shared a normal serving of the baked mac 'n cheese. I will start off by saying the Mac 'n cheese was DELICIOUS, though the portion left me wonder what the appetizer serving would look like, Yikes! However it was sufficient for a two person split when you have an entree. The Salmon was good, not too dry not overcooked. Pickled onions, squash and some tarragon made up the rest of the dish and were duly enjoyable. The squash was not mushy and held good flavor. Hubby reported the scallops were good though it would have been nice if they had included more of the lobster the dish claimed to bring. Not too shabby decor, though the ceiling seemed unfinished. Expect close quarters, though it may seem quaint due to the candle lighting. Though we made a reservation we still ended up with seats next to the (somewhat oddly disguised) restrooms. Not that great for a romantic, first date but good enough to bring your hubby/long term relationship.
