What apleasant surprise
As a New yorker I'm used to great food served with a bit of bravado a bit of indifference, yada yada yada,< So when I called and was greeted by a welcoming male voice I was pleasantly surprised. Cut to the chase, one of the best dinners we've had in New York. Perfect gespacho, the veal chop was not huge but savory. The mac and cheese was quite spectacular. Ice cream gelato was full of flavor. The service attentive, friendly, unobtrusive and warm. Was I in Milwaukee, or Omaha? No... just in a great restaurant in Manhattan that provides a great experience

Pretty place - food, egh.
The spring 2011 menu was not that exciting! For such a nice place I thought the food would be more exciting and springy... The buffalo mozzarella with apricot was good minus the toasted bread that it came on. Tastes like burnt charcoal. The Mac and cheese was good and the ravioli special was good, it came with 3 raviolis. Just nothing exciting. I was expecting like fresh seafood pasta or yummy salads... Won't come here again.

Great Ambiance, Mediocre Food
My friend and I had the dinner prix fixe (salad, grilled veal chop and gelatto w/fudge for dessert). The salad was average, both of us agreed that the chop was tough and tasteless. The "fudge" on my dessert was seriously one tablespoon worth. The bread pudding was spungy. The pasta dishes looked better, but we did not see that at the time we ordered. The atmosphere of the place is great: warm and welcoming. Service good to. But, ultimately it is the food that counts, and based on that meal, we would not return.

Wonderful Sunday Evening Meal
We eat here after seeing the Upright Citizens Brigade and had a wonderful meal. Wines are discounted $15 on Sunday's which was a nice surprise. Pasta was fantastic and s'mores desert was very good.

Great Underrated Restaurant!
I went here with my girlfriend and my brother and his girlfriend. my brother came from the boondocks in Illinois and wanted some good food. so i found Giorgio's of Gramercy and decided to try it. I have to say that this place is UNDERRATED. the food was great. I had penne which was cooked to perfection while my brother got their pre-fixe which included a generously sized filet mignon and a decadent chocolate cake. all the food was great and we were fully satisfied. the service was normal but good. but what made the service impeccable was their attention to detail. I had accidentally smeared some chocolate sauce on my jacket and my gf helped me rub/wash it out with a napkin. the maitre'd saw this and came over and asked if "they" were responsible for the spillage and offered to pay for a dry clean for my jacket. i was a little bit surprised by the offer but i politely declined and told them it was my own doing. seriously, go to this restaurant. service is great and the food is good. i don't know why people don't come here more.

Amazing Experience
I have never posted a review but the restaurant was so good that I had to. The host at this restaurant was amazing as was the wait staff. The decor and atmosphere was classy yet not snobby at all. This is definitely a great place to go as a couple or a larger group. They were able to seat a table of 8 on Saturday night with very little wait. Absolutely wonderful experience and will definitely go there again.
