Best Italian I've had in a long time and not very expensive. The specials are usually extremely good. Carafe of wine not very exensive either. Basically its better italian food than most much more expensive places in a not so sleek package. Service is a little spotty and the counter makes it feel like a pizza parlor.

I agree with everything the previous reviewer has said, the pizza is fabulous but the guys behind the counter are such a miserable bunch, it makes me think twice about going everytime, much prefer to have it delivered.

Gino's really is one of the best (if not THE best) Italian in the area. You cannot compare the pizza to anything in the immediate area, and the food is really awesome. I have to agree with the "grumpy" guys behind the counter. The guy I am thinking of really does act like he's never seen you before (even though we're there all the time) and couldn't care less if he ever sees you again. Just because the food is great doesn't mean I need to keep coming back! I can get that 'tude anywhere in the city...I don't need to pay for it!

I was in UES with an other Italian friend; She eat a couple of time before in this place and she had excellent pizza and a good pasta so we decided to sit down for a dinner that remind us from home. The pasta was definitely good but they served poor eggplant ravioli.

I've have Italian food from most places on the UES and this place is great. The prices are very reasonable. The pizza is good and the chicken parmesan is a phenomenal deal!!!

Gino's is consistantly delicious. Great delivery-the food is always piping hot and delivered in a timely manner. I plan to go through the entire menu, but definitely try the chicken fiorentina or pizza with grilled chicken, broc and sundried tomato. The guy who answers the phone is a little surly, but it's totally forgivable because a) he NEVER messes up your order and b)the food ROCKS! Great neighborhood spot for very tasty italian comfort food.

You know when you move to a new neighborhood and you find that perfect spot that feels like it's all yours? well that's gino's. it doesn't need fancy advertising, as a matter of fact, i hope they never do, so we uesiders get to keep it all to ourselves. the brothers that own it are legit sicilians and the bigget one really makes you feel at home. the comfort food is as good as mom's and it's warm and cozy. it's the perfect 180 from uppity eateries all over this city. so go and enjoy, but only tell your favorite friends.
