This is easily the best pizza on the UES. But sometimes it's impossible to get them on the phone, and very often, my pizza shows up with all the cheese shifted to one side. I often ask them to put that white plastic thing in the middle that helps a bit, but I think their delivery guys need to be more careful. Also, why can't they put that slip of paper in the box under the pizza? I always recycle, and you're not supposed to recycle dirty pizza boxes. That sheet helps keep in recyclable. That's just my opinion. Also - be warned - they do sell slices, but if you go in the evening or on the weekend, they won't let you sit at the table to eat it, like other slice places do. My rec is order a whole pie, pick it up yourself, and freeze whatever is left.

This is the second time in a row that I try to order from Gino's between 10 and 10:20pm and nobody answer the phone. The other I even insisted and showed up at the place pick up, but I was told they were closed already.

The guy behind the counter(owner?) is a real (rhymes with Rick). The things I hear him say to customers is beyond poor business judgement. My friends in the neighborhood won't even go in there anymore. If he doesn't have his back to the counter watching the tube he's on his cell phone conducting personal business right in front of you(trying to sell his boat..). Which isn't so surprising because after all these years(it's obvious) you don't even exist to him. But your money sure does..that much you can bet on..lol Hey Buddy, you might wanna think twice about getting rid of the boat 'cause as far as your this former GOOD customer is concerned, you've already "gone fishing". This guy needs to learn a lesson about valuing his customers.....

you can tell the food is good quality and well sized but geez... absolutely no flavor at all. i got linguini with shrimp and garlic, fairly basic italian dish i feel but all i taste is that fishy shrimp brine. i might be being too harsh but both other members of my family who got a chicken parm hero and spaghetti and meatballs say the same. i will not be ordering again. it did come quickly and hot though, no arguments there. good effort... but not quite

I don't know what you people are trying but if you like salads so much why order from a place that has the best authentic Italian food around, go elsewhere. The Pizza is outstanding and the food is great like my grandmother made. I guess most of you are not used to real NY Pizza. The specials are outstanding. The staff is pleasant and friendly the wait is sometimes long but well worth it. It is better than most tourist traps that serve you from a pre- made pan rather then a fresh made to order plate. Not sure about the delivery but I see the men running in and out as fast as the orders come out I never see them sitting on top of the oven like most pizza joints. I have been eating at Gino's 2x a week for the past 8 years and have never had a bad slice or a dish i did not like.

From the huge salad platters to the basics of southern Italian cooking, Gino's consistently provides delicious food and the best values on the Upper East Side.

I love Gino's! You can't beat the food for the money. It is not gourmet Italian but it is delicious classic Italian food for a great price. I've read the reviews about the service but I have only had very pleasant experiences. Their pizza is delicious, by far my favorite on the UES, and their pastas are also great.
