Ginger is a gem. A friend recommended it to me, especially for the unique rolls like banana crunch, which has spicy tuna, and the S&M which is spicy mango shrimp! Their sushi is a great deal. Cute small space. I live in Brooklyn, but go to Ginger fairly often. Best EV sushi for creative roll lovers.

I have had handfuls of favorites, but will never have another. This place has ruined all other "outstanding" sushi restaurants. The banana crunch roll is what hooked me, the Opium roll keeps me coming back. The owner is so friendly and personable and all the wait staff are incredibly friendly. Dine in, delivery, I can't say enough.

My favorite sushi place in all of Manhattan! Go out of your way to find Ginger. Restaurant itself is clean and low key. Sushi is EXTREMELY fresh and rolls are as unique and imaginative as they are delicious. You will not be disappointed. I was tempted not to write a good review so that I can keep Ginger as my secret retreat.

This restaurant has all you could ask for; delicious sushi, inspired rolls, at-home atmosphere, outstanding service...even the owner is nice. Stop by and say Hi to Ron, Albert, Kadee and the rest of the super-friendly staff. Beware; your present sushi loyalty will be severely tested.

Sushi places in the East Village are on every corner. But this place seriously has it all. Amazing service, intimate atmosphere and you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. They also make very creative rolls which I love.

this lil place is about a block and a half from my house, and though there are TONS of good sushi restaurants in the general vacinity, i eat here constantly. the sushi is always, always great. totally recommended.

Great little sushi restaurant. Very friendly folks, fresh & inspired dishes. Try the banana crunch tuna. (Then go across the street to Lily Coogan?s for a pint.)
