I'm a very picky sushi chick and Ginger by far has the best sushi I've had in the east village. the dolce banana and s&m rolls are unique and delish, and the prices are affordable. the place itself is small and unassuming, but we mostly get delivery. it's our fav!

I've been ordering from this place for a while and it's always been mediocre but worth it for the price. Well last nights delivery went WAY down hill. It wasn't the weekend and it was at 4 PM so they weren't busy. All the food tasted old and the quantity of fish in the rolls and on the sushi was so small it was ridiculous. The shrimp tempura in the shrimp tempura roll was so old the shrimp had shrunk inside the tempura coating into nothing and the tempura coating was hard and tasted purely like old oil. It was such a waste of money and time. So disappointing.

This is my go-to sushi spot. They have a great roll special at lunch time - good selection, and always fresh and delicious. Delivery is almost always very quick. Favorite roll - spicy tuna banana. Amazing! They also have the best ginger dressing I have ever had.

So glad we found this place! We had amazing sushi at a totally reasonable place. The owner is friendly and the waitstaff is attentive but not pushy and doesn't try and rush you out. PLEASE try the banana/peanut butter/eel/crunchy flakes roll - it sounds dubious but it INCREDIBLE! They have really interesting rolls and the sushi is very high quality. Will definitely come back in the future. Probably tomorrow!

Ginger consistently delivers the best value for delicious sushi delivery. The restaurant has a great atmosphere if you choose to eat in as well. The sushi combos allow those of us who want lots of sushi, but want to choose our favorites, like yellowtail, salmon, tuna, an economical option. Kind, courteous, just the best!

This place is absolutely wonderful. I never really been inclined to write a review but after experience the warth and delight of this place over and over, I felt it was my duty. With the most eclectic and deliscious sushi rolls, the food is top rate and the gentleman who owns this restaurant really gets "good service". He makes me want to open up a restaurant just so I can give people the same feeling he gives me.

We are new to the East Village and huge sushi fans...we have gone though about 3 other sushi places and then found Ginger...the best and a great value. The sushi is always fresh and served nicely for delivery. The only downfall is that it is closed on Sunday!
