Fabulous Restaurant w/ lovely wait staff
I had dinner here last night with an old friend and the entire experience was fantastic! Our waitress was lovely and engaging, sharing her recommendations and very attentive. We had a lovely avocado special salad that was just right to share. The Sangria was delicious, fruity and tangy. For our main dish, we shared a bowl of pasta w/ lamb ragu that was creamy and delightful, light but hearty. we had 2 desserts: the chocolate bomb and the torta both of which were perfect. Absolutely a must return to, and a highly recommended spot.

Substandard in all respects
I invited a friend for a birthday dinner last night. Had never tried this restaurant and will never go there again. It was subpar in all respects. The service was rude and disinterested. When we arrived and the door was open. We were told that the kitchen hadburned something and they had to let some air in. The kept the door open during our dinner but our eyes were burning the entire time. The food took forever to arrive and we all would have been better off had it not. The special pizza of the night which was suppose to have grilled eggplant hardly had any. The restaurant is noisy, the service is horrendous, and the food isn't good. The only thing going for it is it's location.

Bad food and service
I had takeout from here one night and didn't love the food. I thought I'd give it another chance and ate at the restaurant with a friend. Service was very slow and unattentive. We had to ask them to have our water multiple times. Despite great options on the menu, the food was bland and the portions were small. My friend ordered a quiche which it was cold in the middle so she had to send it back for them to reheat. This was done without apology or any adjustment of the check. After two failed attempts I won't be going back here again.

Would have been great, but...
Me and my 2 girlfriends were looking for a place for brunch. We walked passed this place and decided to try it because it looked so cute. We sat down and ordered very quickly. Our coffee and food all came out pretty fast...coffee was very good, and our food was all quite good as well. The moment we finished eating, without even asking us if we wanted anything else, the waiter brought over our check. We paid, but we still sat there for a while finishing our coffee and our water. We weren't there long, but I could see the manager/owner staring over at us, and the waiters continued to clear our table very rudley as we're sitting there chatting. Then one of us gets up to go to the washroom, and when she gets back, I go to the washroom, because there's only one so we were waiting for each other to finish. I left my half full coffee cup, and 5 minutes later when I got back, the table was cleared and my friends were waiting for me outside!!! The manager literally kicked us out, and he couldn't even wait the less than 5 minutes for me to leave the bathroom!!!! My friends had to gather my things and wait for me outside! Absolutely appaling behavior. There was not a big line, just a few people waiting for tables, and I can tell you for sure, if I was a person waiting for a table and saw a manager do that, I would not want to eat there! We will never be returning, which is really too bad, because moments earlier we were saying how cute the restaurant was, and that we'd have to come back for dinner sometime. Even at the busiest restaurants in New York, I've never been asked to leave because of a long line up!!! This is the poorest service we've ever encountered.

cute place, greasy and bland food
like abby, i stepped in bc the spot looked so cute. i had an omlet with spinach and fontina which tasted like lightly salted grease. hope they improve bc the atmosphere is bright and nice.

eh
Went last Thursday with my husband for dinner. Place looks really cute from outside and in. Food reads good on the menu, but in reality is decidedly par to sub-par. We ordered a bottle of wine, and the waiter just poured it - full glasses, no pouring a little to let one taste it first. Odd, first time a waiter has done that, and it's wrong. What if the bottle is bad? The tuna carpaccio tasted like it had just come from the freezer, had a little bit of ice freeze on it, we didn't even finish it, was mushy and not good. The spinach & ricotta crepe sounded good but was mushy. My husband ordered the fusilli with lamb ragout and it came as lamb lasagna, no explanation given. Better italian around, won't be back.
