NYC is unfortunately, run over by Starbucks (which i don't care to call it coffee at all!). But i am so glad that places like this one exists!! :)

The best coffee I've had is in San Francisco. This is the best 'competitor' I've found out east.
Definitely recommend, fair price, good service and great espresso.

This little in-and-out coffee joint (although no place to sit) takes their coffee serious, but you won't pay through the nose for it. Great coffee, apparently all grown and imported with a social conscience, and a super friendly staff.

Gimme Coffee is a wonderful European style espresso bar. The tiny storefront is perfect for taking your coffee at the bar, enjoying the few moments of bliss while drinking it, and being on your way. The staff is incredibly friendly and loves to talk about
