Great Ethiopian Food in NY
The Siga Alecha was excellent. Everything was wonderful! We highly recommend this place. We've been to every Ethiopian restaurant in Manhattan and another in Brooklyn, and this beats them all.

Just wanted dinner
We were looking to have a late night dinner so we searched around until we found this place. On their website it was listed they were open until midnight. Went in with plenty of time and was immediately greeted by a rather abrupt waiter using quite a strong tone of voice said they were closed. There were other people in the restaurant still enjoying their meals so it's not like the place was empty. We tried (very nicely) to tell him it was listed on their website that they were open until 12am and he just got even more disgruntled saying that it wasn't true. The male waiter there has quite a chip on his shoulder for no reason! I am no longer interested in going back to this venue.

Heaven on earth!
Simply the best and I'm not just saying that! I have had Ethiopian food all over the city but none of them can compare! The food is delicious and the service is very friendly---always smiling! And very affordable and the atmosphere is very relaxing. It's always worth the travel just for Ghenet! Trust me I've had Ghenet so many times now I should be part-owner by now lol, it's seriously amazing and delicious and the best ever! I'm running out of adjectives

Was told I would love it...and I did!
A doctor I work with is from Ethiopia and she told me numerous times that I should try it. I am Vegan and she told me that alot of their food is Vegan friendly. So after a few months I finally got to try it and I loved it. Very interesting cuisine. I was told that the bread that they serve with everything is fermented for a few days and I loved that the most. Very vingery! I only went here so far but I can't wait to try a different place too! Def. going to go there again! The atmosphere was very nice too. Very relaxed and airy. The other plus side to this place is you get to eat with your hands...which is a plus for me!

Don't miss out!
The restaurant was excellent. The tuna tartar appetizer was the best dish we had and can't wait until we have it again! We did the combo platter for 2 as the main meal, it was also very good but I am sure that at least one of the choices we received was incorrect. Anyway, it's still a must go. Enjoy!!!

Great for a second time!
This was my second venture into Ethiopian cuisine, and the result was awesome. Though I only have one place outside of New York to compare to, the food was really delicious and didn't skimp out on flavor or spice at all. The only odd bit was that My dish came with a hard boiled egg and I felt very odd eating that with my hands, though that's my fault. I'd definitely recommend them to anyone.

My first Ethiopian Food
I thought the food tasted good, of course I have nothing to compare it to, since it was my first try of eithiopian cousine. But I enjoyed it. Would come again, and try diffarernt dishes.
