    Great for take out!

We have Ghang deliver and it is great. Good food, reasonably priced and quick!

    A complete waste

We used to order from the location on Smith street but gave the Court street location a try. Not only was the delivery late, the veggie dumplings came with no sauce and the stir fries were bland, watery, greasy and shredded looking. The vegetables did not even match what was described in the menu. Don't waste your time or money with this place. There are better restaurants in the neighborhood.

    Won't return

Service was poor, it was like being served by machines! Food quality was disappoiting, everything was fried too hard.

Worst service in a long time

Ended up giving Ghang a try tonight after finding a 45 minute wait at Joya...there were 4 of us (1 pregnant) and we were all hungry. BIG mistake! We should have thought about the fact that there was a 45 minute half a block away, and this place was only half full! Anyway, we waited at least 10 minutes for water, and at least another 10 minutes to order....received 1 of the 2 appetizers we ordered (very mediocre calamari) about 10 minutes before the second (fried softshell crab with mango salad - the salad part of this was fine, the crab was fried in too much overly salty batter, broken into chunks, and didn't taste very fresh....we even left some of it). Then we waited another half hour for our entrees which were served one at a time with a good 5 minutes between them. There were 2 "waiters" (or were they hosts or busboys?? - WAY understaffed) working on Friday night, and what looked like 1 guy in the kitchen serving up one dish at a time....the place was totally understaffed. In the end, we spend close to 3 hours for a few simple and mediocre noodle dishes...a complete waste of time, and easily the most disappointing experience I've had in a VERY long time! Should have waited the 45 minutes at Joya, we still would have been out sooner and had time to catch a movie!

    Ghang Thai Resturaunt

I enjoy Ghang Thai very much, but the service is so slow! I do not recomend this resturaunt for parties larger than two people. I say tis because I was once there with a party of six. We ordered as soon as we sat down, with only one other table filled in the entire resturaunt. I ordered Curry Puffs, and I never got them. A couple sat down across from me, half an hour after i got the, ordered curry puffs, and received them moments after their order. An hour later, the waiter came and told me they were out of curry puffs. My entire table never got their order, and after 3 completely wasted hours, we left.

    As Thai as Chiang Kai-Shek

Having been to Thailand, I honestly can say Ghang Thai is a greasy Chinese joint masquerading as a Thai eatery. The veggie dumplings tasted like grass clippings in a rice flour wrapper. The veggie spring roll was boring and bland. The noodle dish was run-of-the-mill oily chow fun from a noodle joint. The two vegetarian entrées looked and tasted the same, although according to the menu they contained distinctly different ingredients. The food was basically bad news. The service left much to be desired, as well. Unfortunately, the 2 waiters simply were not up to the task. Give it a miss.

    Better than our standby

Visited Ghang Thai after finding out the wait time at our standby Thai place.Over an hour would not cut it for our hunger. So, we head over to Ghang Thai and wow! The food is tasty, the portions, generous and the space, very comfortable. Taste-wise, the food at Ghang Thai is significantly better. Not as greasy and more flavorful. We've been back regularly since then and are amazed that this place isn't busier. We've had several of their curries (Emerald curry is my fave), wok dishes (Ginger duck is always good) and a couple of noodle dishes (yum - drunken noodles!) Their special apps are very good too -- specifically, the soft-shell crab app with mango salad. Delish. Their lunch special is AMAZING value. Seriously, people... Try this place. The food and value is unbeatable.
