Charming and nice, but...
The place is very small with only a handful of tables and no bathroom so don't drink too much. The decor was charming and the staff was attentive and knowledgeable. The food was also enjoyable but not the best bbq. The ribs were by far the best and while we didn't get the fried chicken, that also looked delightful. While they pride themselves with the use of a good dry rub, I am more of a sauce guy and their bbq sauce was just average. If I was in the neighborhood craving BBQ, I would go back. The prices for NY BBQ were definitely a surprise, in a good way as all the dishes were very reasonable.

Best ribs
So tender and meaty, better and cheaper than any other place in the city. Good fries and hush puppies too

Good Food, Will Be Back
Found this place on MP and decided to try it out. Went on a Friday evening and it was empty. It is a small hole in the wall restaurant with old fashion checkered table cloths which gives it that BBQ feel. The waitress was pleasant and tentative. They played a lot of hip hop which was fine with me. The food came in a good time and it was really good. I ordered the ribs which were tender but a tid bit dry. The bake beans and collard greens were great. My date had the French fries and fried chicken which were sooo good. They have homemade lemonade and ice tea which was perfect. The prices were very cheap for the amount of food you get. I will be back to this place.

Nice Job on the Collards and Biscuits
First time eaters tonight. The portions are large. The pulled pork needed a little kick but was certainly moist and tender. The meat fell off the ribs (which came with the sauce on the side - a nice touch instead of the typical drenching of bottled sauce). The magic was in the collard greens, biscuits and beans. Each was a solid dish. The greens were tender and sweetly vinegared. The beans were heavily laden with pork fatback and extremely yummy. The biscuits light, warm and accompanied by a honey butter sauce. Great vaule for the buck. Only seats 20 so be prepared to wait unless you arrive early.

Best BBQ in NYC
We're both from the south and this is the best BBQ we've found in Manhattan. The fried chicken is super crunchy and juicy, the ribs are incredibly tender, everything is always amazing. We live in Midtown West and routinely make the trip downtown just for Georgia's. The eating area is a bit tight but feels just like home.
