    Down Hill

This place had some of the tastiest pizza around, but it has gone down hill rapidly. The crust is now so thick that it doesn't always cook through. It's on the way home, otherwise I'd skip it entirely. Pity.

    doesn't get better

everytime i go i think it's gonna be great and by the time i'm done i am almost clapping and always thanking the surly old dudes who are still back there making pies after all these decades. the bread is real, thick, could stand on its own as just great bread. and the sauce is perfect, sweet, actual tomato sauce, so amazing it sends me back to 20, 30 years to my childhood in coney island and a sauce i forgot until i tried this one. i am a kid again when i eat this slice, a kid who never took for granted the personal touch that great new york food has. and it's still cheap, more than worth it. love the hole in the wall of it, love the old men bitchin at each other hunched over the dough and sauce, love it. it is home.

    Poor customer service

We do not recommend ordering delivery from George's. We've lived in the neighborhood for several years and were happy with them until recently. The last several times we've ordered from them the pizza has not been made fresh - it arrived cold and each slice was a different size; clearly thrown together from separate pies. Today we decided to try again and told them about what has happened recently, asked if they would make the pie fresh - they told us to come and make it ourselves. We will never order from them again.

    Love this place!!

The service is straight forward and so is the food. I think George's pizza is amongst the best in the hood and the delivery is always lightening fast. The atmosphere is perfectly appropriate. Highly recommend!

    None Other Like Georges

I have eaten pizza all over New York and even in other countries and none compare to the pizza in Georges. George is a Greek-Italian, God bless him for that. The sauce tastes like actual pizza sauce, its think rich and creamy-quite amazing. The pizza is perfect and the people themselves are hilarious. My friends and me are like family there, no really, we would visit everyday. If you haven't gone, you need to go ASAP ! I'm pretty sure you'll love it, everyone I have taken there thinks it's amazing. They always end up returning.

A rare example of good pie in the heights

A crust that actually tastes like pizza crust, and sauce that actually tastes like pizza sauce, thank God for that. Be quick and specific on the phone, 'cause they're not the sit 'around and wait' type, and for the love of everything that is holy if you ask for extra cheese you had better be expecting an entire wheel of the stuff on your pie (on occasion you will receive a disk of cheese with a pizza under it, I'm just saying). But in all honesty it's properly made pie: not too thin, not too thick, no skimping on the ingredients and delivered promptly (often by some great, chatty characters). Never been to the actual place, so no opinion on the ambiance. You have no excuse to order from Papa John's, seriously. You know you can't be more than a few feet from an atm.
