Noisy, terrible service -- rushed and unprofessional. Can't understand its popularity. My last visit.

Fantastic authentic Italian food and great wine. If the pumpkin ravioli is available, get it.

I grew up in Sicily and can confidently say the Gennaro is one of the few restaurants that has authentic sicilian food. The dishes are fresh, innovative and tasteful. I love this place because it reminds me of home!!

Last night, my husband and I decided to visit our favorite spot: Gennaro. It was terribly cold out, but I was dreaming about their pastas all day. We had a great meal. I ordered brussel sprout salad with bottarga and my favorite bucatini cacio e pepe, just like in Rome! John had radicchio and provolone (smells so good) and branzino al cartoccio with baby veggies. We love to go there because they have very nice selections of wines, which go great with the food. All in all, Great night.

This was my preferred italian restaurant in the city...5 to 10 years ago. Price/quality was unbeatable. I lived in Italy for some years, and my family owns a decent restaurant there. This place used to be close the real thing. Now, it is not worth even trying. I do not know what happened but it is a completely different experience. I do not plan to come back.

Mediocre food; long wait for both table and food with misleading information from staff.

Alas, Gennaro has declined to serving pleasant but undistinguished food (altho the carpaccio was excellent). Service was friendly but slow, and the waiter complained to us afterward about a 15% tip (he wanted us to double the tax, which would have made a difference of $3).
