One of my fave places on the ues to frequent. The staff is always attentive, and the atmosphere is great. It may be a pub, but theres nothing dingy about the place at all (see: rathebones). The drinks are fantastic and I love the fries (i saw someone say theyre always soggy-not true). Great [select]ion of beers, and a great place to drink during the game (theyre esp accommmodating during the world cup). Even though I just moved from the ues, I still return, and will continue to do so.

The bartenders are the best around...attentive and friendly who always remember you. Great selection of beers on tap. The food is far from above the traditional pub fare with several homemade specialties. The beef stew in cold weather is hearty and warming topped with delicious mashed potatoes. I see people return over and over for the chicken pot pie, shepards pie, burgers/fries, wings and the several specials available each night. Homemade balsamic vinaigrette is an excellent dressing for any of their salads for a healthy choice. Whether sitting down for a complete meal or nimbling on selections from the bar menu, you are sure to be satisfied. There are several TVs with views from the bar or tables, making it the perfect spot for sporting events. Feel completely comfortable stopping in for a bite to eat and grab a drink alone, with your significant other or group of friends. Make it your neighborhood bar or be just as welcome popping in whenever you are in the area.

Genesis has good bar food at a reasonable price. The burger and the wings are very good. However, the fries are always soggy. The service is always pleasant and the host tries hard to please.

This place is okay for bar food or decent priced drinks but not much else. They try to have this fancy shmancy menu but its a bar. Stick to a regular burger and fries, avoid wilted greens and pomme frites. Its a bar with bar food, but it cants just own that; it has to try to reach for something its not. This place is okay, nothing magical. Also, the last time we were there our waitress was coming down or something and she was not useful.

This is where "grown-ups" with fond memories of their college towns can go to grab a quick drink or settle in for a whole meal. Nice TVs for watching games. The desserts are surprisingly good for a bar. We have only lived in the UES for a short while and we have already been twice.

Fun, warm reliving of college days...reasonably priced and innovative, if not spectacular, food especially on the day's specials which include an imaginative wine selection. Topnotch service; Melissa and the gentleman from Bangladesh were friendly, attentive and very helpful.

I have lived on the UES for about a year now, and Genesis has the best burger up here hands down. The service is great also. They remember your name after only being there once, and they are very friendly. I will continue to frequent this pub. Great to meet up with friends to watch the game or just to grab a quick bite.
