Evening of New Year's day I entered this expectedly noisy pub but was delighted that they have , deep in the back, small rooms protected from the din. The waitresses were lovely but my food stank. The onion soup was too thin. The fries were excellent with the fish and chips, but the fish was soggy, instead of crisp. I asked twice for extra tartar sauce but it never came.

Ate here on June 28th and usually like this place. The food is solid and fresh. The food took over an hour to receive and they didn't bring bread or anything. We had to ask for bread, ask for water, ask for our bill, the service was astonishingly subpar.

Genesis is listed as having pub food in zagat, but we were so pleasantly surprised at the variety of choices and the quality of the dishes. From the delicious sliders to the bread pudding, every course was scrumptious. The outdoor seating provided a view of the city life and the service was great! I'm not a resident of the UES, but I'll definitely be back!

Food is amazing and is always an excellent value. Service is well above par. Even called for delivery and it was a pleasure to order -i don't think i can say that about anywhere else. Genesis is quickly becoming my favorite place to eat...oh and the burgers are perfect too!

have been to Genesis five or six times now for lunch, dinner, brunch, and snack and I always love what I get! Everything is delish! Maybe not the cosmo (drink) but it's more of a beer atmosphere anyway.

Last night was my second visit to Genesis, this time with a friend from out of town. He was hungry and opted for a burger and I ordered some wings. I had had each before and they were great. Unfortunately, not so much this time. We finished our first beers and sat for five minutes before we could see any of the staff beside the harried bartender (who seemed to be the only person there who was actually busy - the tables were lightly populated). The servers-by-committee were slow with beers the entire time we were there, which has always been, to me, an unconscionable shank. Drinks inflate the check and thus the gratuity, and having to wait for drinks makes customers cranky - so why in the world would you keep two thirsty dudes from purchasing libation? I would have given these guys a pass on the beer delays, but then came the food. After a more than 30 minute wait (amid a not-busy dinner crowd), my buddy's burger and my wings appeared. He had ordered the burger medium-rare, and it was cooked somewhere between medium-well and well done. The wings were still warm but had obviously been sitting for quite some time, as a sheen had begun to congeal on the surface of the sauce. Not to harsh on the place, but after my first experience, I was willing to walk extra blocks past the many similar establishments in the neighborhood. After my return, not so much.

What can I say about Genesis ? I'm in there once a week ,tried everything on the menu. The burgers are my favorite they are outstanding, so many different combinations and topping that you can have on them. Big and juicy also. By far the best burgers in the neighborhood . The wings and wraps are also good. Try Genesis on a Monday when the burgers are 9 dollars or on a Tuesday when the wraps are also 9 dollars. The staff is very friendly and eager to service you. The manager is also very peasant and helpful. It's a great place to watch a game lots of flat screen t.v's. Thats where i'll be watching football when the season starts . Genesis is also a Steelers and Ohio Buckeyes Bar...
