I come to Genesis about once a week , I think I tried everything on the menu. Some dishes are better than others but everything is very tasty. The burgers are by far the best in the neighborhood . The wings are great too. The last time I went I had the bangers and mash it was amazing . The staff is also wonderful, very friendly and eager to help. Try Genesis you wont be disappointed !!!

The waitress was new and messed up our order over five times--wrong burgers, wrong salads twice, and wrong dish completely. We waited 20 minutes in between dishes being brought out and the food was cold. We were understanding about the waitress being new, but wanted some sort of compensation for the disappointing dining experience. First, the waitress said that the manager was at the bank and wouldn't be back for 45 minutes--it was a sunday! Banks aren't even open on Sunday. Then the manager/owner came out and told us that he wasn't going to give us anything and that he gave us free drinks. The drinks are included in the brunch menu, they're not free! He was extremely rude.

As mentioned in most recent reviews, Genesis is a good bar/ restaurant. The food is consistently good, the staff is always friendly and attentive. We had tried a few places for decent burgers on the ues, but nothing had kept us coming back. This place is a different story, a solid choice, no surprises. We've gone during the week and on weekend nights, never had to wait.

I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! Genesis is an amazing neighborhood restaurant/bar! The staff are so amazing and friendly, they always welcome me and make me feel at home. The food is awesome and the burgers rock!! I love the Gaelic burger! Drinks are always refilled quickly and Im never thirsty there! Great place I love it!

I've tried the burgers, several appetizers and salads here and they were all great. The staff is friendly and attentive. The scene is hit or miss though. Some nights it's crowded with a good mix and some nights a more older crowd...and I'm not talking older as in late 20's, like more than double that! Overall though, decent place and not like the other 20-something bars in the UES.

Wonderful Irish bar with excellent burgers and great staff. Genesis is famous for it's awesome burgers, and I agree. I go there once a week for them, never ordered a burger I didn't like. There is also quite a selection to choose from. I guess that's why they are in the burger of the month club. They also have drinks specials daily and lots and lots of Jameson. They also just expanded they now have a beautiful horse shoe shaped bar , with a great selection of beer on tap. Genesis is also one of the cleanest bars on the upper east side. I've been to quite a few and nothing compares to them . I tell everyone they have to try Genesis one time and I bet you'll go back again . Between the outdoor sitting in the front and the beer garden in the back it's a lovely place spend a sunny afternoon . The staff is also great with kids.
