This place has a wonderful ambience, but do not be fooled. The food is definitely subpar, and the fusion dishes are overly buttered and salted. I tried to grab hold of my waiter's attention several times to ask for another glass of wine, but he never bothered to come by my table. I called the manager a week later, and he was disrespectful and unwilling to listen to my concerns. Please stay away!

We were seated right away for our 9pm reservation. Ordered a large sake which was very crisp and clean. For appetizers we had the trio tartars, lobster dumplings and hamachi which were all amazing. For our entrees we had two sushi rolls and the cod and filet. Everything came out perfectly and I highly recommend this restaurant for a group of friends or a date.

Great food, great drinks, great service. Stand out dishes were the Shrimp Lollipop appetizer, the Lobster main course and the Wagyu Fried Rice. Yum!

Walked in without a reservation at 8PM and we were seated within 5 minutes. We had the tuna tartar and for main courses the miso salmon and the halibut. Both were very flavorful and good. The portions are very small, so it is a good thing we had a late lunch.

We went here for a celebration sushi night. We ordered an expensive bottle of wine but were scammed into paying for the most expensive bottle of wine. Both wines were white, listed next to each other, and the same year. So,anticipating the possible confusion, my boyfriend pointed to exact wine that we wanted. We were brought the bottle and drank it happily - thinking it was the wine we ordered. We got our bill and realized we drank and were charged for the wrong wine, which "happened" to be the most expensive wine on the menu. After politely pointing this out to our waitress, she said "oh, I made a mistake and I’m very sad about that and made a fake frown face then she and the manager denied our request to charge for the wine we ordered." This was a total rip off and, on top of that, this was after totally disappointing sushi and dessert. The sushi was average when compared all the other great Japanese restaurants. Definitely not worth the money, even the pre-rip off amount.

I live on the UES and this place has an awesome BondST vibe minus the hike downtown and great sushi to boot. Although the prices are a little too steep for my liking.
