What are you thinking?
I have been here many times with friends, this place is great! I have no idea why people complain about the prices, do you actually pay attention to the prices at ANY restaurant in Tribeca? This diner is cheap, great portions and very fast service (which is lacking is SO many places in the city). The food is always hot, and served with a smile. I would recommend this place to anyone for a wonderful, cheap and friendly place to be.

Prices out Of Control
I am living in Tribeca since the early 90's. I also went to Gee Whiz. The waiters are sweet and attentive. The food, basic diner food, but good. We just can't afford to eat here any more. I think it is terrible that the prices are like eating in a fancy restaurant. This diner is out of control with the prices. Oh, I forgot there catering to million's in the neighborhood.

great diner
they have the best greek salad i have ever had in my life. everything else we've tried on the menu is amazing too. high quality. My only complaints are that delivery often takes approx 45 mins, and it is a bit pricey.

Good food too expensive for a diner.
I'm a Tribecan. I've ordered here for years.The food is good The portions are large. I guess that's how they justify their prices. Which would only be considered fair if you split your entree.

Quality from a diner like no other.
Im originally from Brooklyn and I lived in and out of diners. Are you kidding me about being expensive. If you're complaing about prices, you must be used to eating from the corner hotdog stand. Gee Whiz has the best quality hamburger meat you can find from a NYC restaurant. I just wish Jupiter Florida had a restaurant/diner like that here. If you want quality and you're down by Chambers, go to Gee Whiz and see what I mean.

...... residents know that this place is milking those it can. Of course, I am referring to those who can afford to be milked and not care. People who know quality will continue to flee from frozen burgers, poor fries, expensive prices, lame soups, barely decent egg dishes, etc.
