    Nobody beats Ghee (the) Whiz!

how can anyone not love this place? ive been coming here for months and its the best of these type of facilities in down town manhattan. their placement of the booths calls to questions spacial design; ie, if they repositioned the cashier kiosk net space would probably .35 for X. I'd like to remind everyone of what my students tell me: If you liked it then you should have put an onion ring on it.

The Food is at best mediocre

Too expensive for the quality of food served. I wouldn't mind paying extra if the food warranted it, but this food is bland, basic and many times poorly cooked, badly seasoned or over cooked. We've dined here many times in the past, but in the last few years the quality of food has gone down significantly. Even the pancakes are gummy, how can you screw up pancakes?

    Too expensive

This place is a rip-off and the food is not that good. Please, save the excuses for this place. I know that they may have to pay an expensive rent, but they are full of themselves.

    high school student-friendly

My friends and I always look for some place around school that's just a nice place to chill and eat, and that we can afford on our measly allowances. Gee Whiz is where we usually find ourselves. It's not Mickey D's, it's not something off a cart and they actually give huge portions! i don't know, we always get the business person special and it's just a very satisfying experience. I just wish i wasn't holding my stomach from being so full every time, haha. And the waiters are really friendly.

    Excellent and a Good Value

Gee Whiz is the best diner in Manhattan. The food is consistently very good. The service is always friendly and quick. Overall, it's a great pick. I don't know how anyone could complain about the prices. Most breakfast items are less than $9. You wont do much better than that anywhere else.

I agree Prices Are Out Of Control!

I love Gee Whiz. It has been in our neighborhood for about 20 years now. When I first moved here the prices were reasonable diner prices. Since the neighborhood changed and there are mostly wealthy people living here the prices sky rocketed. Breakfast here cost a fortune. Whatever happened to the working class people prices. Sorry Gee Whiz.:(

    Consistently delicious

Any time I have people stay over for the weekend....I always bring them to Gee Whiz for breakfast. Coffee, eggs, toast, pancakes and french toast is always deicious. The waiters are incredibly nice and fast! Delivery is speedy and everything arrives hot....not always easy! I've run into many famous actors over the years eating brunch at Gee Whiz......doubt they would eat here if the food wasn't fabulous!
